Homecoming Carnival Post II | Park | Friday | October 22

The Homecoming Carnival was in full swing and decorated according to the theme: blues and greens of all sorts, and little fish decorations everywhere.

But that wasn't the important part, oh no.

The important part was how much fun could be had at all of the booths! Step up, step up! Take your chances!

Really, who would want to miss this?

"Not really," Peter said, chuckling. "You did miss me turn into a dog, a girl dog, and then a girl all in a few days. But other than that, mostly keeping to myself and trying not to make the teachers think I'm too interested in their classes."

Laughing, Hannibal almost had to set the pie down so he wouldn't waste it. "How the hell did you manage the dog, girl dog, and girl? I heard about the flipping genders so was the dog just a fun thing for you?"

"Yes. I now have the power to change into a dog. I was bitten by a radioactive poodle while on my trip through the National Archives," Peter said. "Now I stalk the streets at night as Justidoodle."

"You know, if I didn't know you were a smartass, I could actually believe that was true," Hannibal pointed out with a laugh.

"You know, I'm almost offended," Peter said. "You actually think I'd use the name 'Justidoodle'?"

"It's catchy," he laughed, shrugging. "What would you use if not Justidoodle?"

"You know, I honestly can't say I can think of an actually cool poodle-related superhero name," Peter said.

"Oh, I think that deserves a pie," Hannibal said, looking down at his pie and then back up at Peter. "It's only fair."

He didn't want to give Peter any more time to react before he was slinging the pie fairly accurately in Peter's direction.

Peter wasn't exactly supposed to be ducking, so he took the pie to the face like a man.

Thanks to the laws of physics, it didn't just stick to his face until he peeled it off, but it did get him quite messy as it slid off his face. He then cleaned out the area by his eyes.

"Nice throw," he said, still with the smug smile. Pie gook and all.

"Good to see I haven't gotten weak while I've been away," Hannibal said, laughing. "I'm sure that'll be one of the many for you today, Peter. You've got a face made for pies."

"You say the sweetest things," Peter said. "Careful or I'll try to make this a kissing booth."

That would not be the only time he made that same awful joke that day.

"Oh, you wish," Hannibal singsonged and shook his head. "You so wish. Have fun with your pie, Peter. I'll see you later."
