Groovy Tunes, Tuesday
Jonothon didn't breathe. Jono didn't have little things like 'internal organs,' and so you would think that he would be immune to little things like hormone-pollen, as a result. And, in the most technical sense, you would be absolutely right.
Jonothon was also a being made of almost pure psionic energy, surrounded by people, not only teenagers, who were almost all feeling the effects of that pollen, and who tended to project their emotional states, sometimes loudly and very urgently.
Jonothon hated everything, ever, and was sitting behind the counter with narrowed pure-white eyes, a kitten in his lap, and very angry music playing very loudly.
The Groovy Tunes is open, and decidedly uncomfortable today, curse you all.
[Open and around!]

"Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, Jono!" she said, leaning on the counter and greeting him wit ha big, dreamy smile.
no subject
//Hello, luv,// he greeted, offering her the slightest nod. Nope, totally not getting up at the moment. //How're you today?//
no subject
She really, really couldn't help the giggle there, and she didn't forget to give Joni a little wave and smile, too.

Joni, of course, was now duty-bound as a kitten to stretch and yawn and purr and dig her claws into Jono's leg before making her way over to wind around Ariel's ankles, squeak-meowing the entire way. //And I've been worse.//
He was still wrestling with his eyes in order to get some colour back into them, but the rampaging libidos of everyone on the island was making it difficult for him to focus on any one thing at a time, with the exception of the obvious.

Anything that got within an arms reach of her would know no mercy.
"That's good!" she chirped. "You look like you've probably been worse. Er, I mean, you look good. Like you're doing good. I mean...oh, you know what I mean!"
And then before Joni could probably even squirm, Ariel held her out in front of her at arms-length and said, "Doesn't Jono look nice today, Joni? He's always so handsome when he's brooding."
And then, before she could respond to that, too, it was back to cuddling.

//... Thank you?//
No, he had no idea how to react to a compliment that was quite so... unique as that one.
//I think?//
No idea at all.

Yes. Jono had to ask these questions. He had to ask them because he was a silly, silly man.
Joni, meanwhile, felt that it was very important to try to squirm free before the crazy lady ate her or something. Mostly, she'd just accomplished pressing her paws against Ariel's arms and mewling pitifully.

"I'm fine!" she smiled. "Great, actually. Why wouldn't I be?"
no subject
No, he really didn't mind her presence here in the least.
And 'happiness' was not quite the word which he was searching for, here.

Of course, even as she said it, she felt that there was something different, in the way her chest thumped a little harder as she looked at Jono and waited for his answer, and she seemed to notice his hair a little more than usual, his eyes, his smi--
Okay, not his smile, but she had a feeling that if he was doing his version of a smile, she'd notice the wrinkles around his eyes more than usual, too.
no subject
Awkward did not begin to touch on that one, really.
no subject
Though she did certainly realize the irony that she had her own things she couldn't exactly tell him.

"Sorry," he said, twisting his hands. "It looks as if this is a bad time."

He was, of course, referring to Friday. He knew better around here than to doubt that it was something perfectly valid, but he was generally the nosy sort whenever he could get away with it.
And it was something to talk about that wasn't, 'and have you noticed how everybody is insane lately? I would like to light them all on fire.'

It took him a moment and a long blink, but when he opened his eyes again, they were back to normal.
//Seems to me as though we'll have to do another show to make up for th'one you missed, then. George seemed keen on having another go at it when I spoke with her on Sunday. Agrees that our band needs a name, even.//
no subject
"I'd like that very much!" Christian enthused; he'd been afraid that he'd be out of the band entirely.
Plus, it was an easy week to be enthused, and he was grateful to have something to be enthused about other than the obvious.
"I was a rock star on Halloween, and I think I remember some of his on-stage moves," he explained. "And as for what to call us -- can we be the Bohemian Revolutionaries?"
no subject
Or combine the insane notions that everybody had thrown onto the table. One of those.
At this point, they would give them a name like "Der Bohemian Waffle Revolution," however, which would probably be best avoided.
no subject
Because that last option wouldn't take a hundred years, or anything.
"I suppose you could impose your will as well," he added, clearly not liking that choice. Nothing against Jono; Christian just wouldn't be truly happy without truth, beauty, justice, love or revolution in the band name.
no subject
//I don't know so much about waffles, personally,// he mused, but he couldn't exactly begrudge George the name, either. Damn his quest for equality and fairness. Damn it. //That said, we've all got to meet in order to rehearse, yet. Couldn't hurt to have it out when we do, could it?//

He tended to use his Mondays for sitting in his room with his covers over his head, trying to sleep off the insanity that was Sundays in the library.

Jono would assist Christian in the song-writing process, if it came down to it.
