Mystery Sign Theater, Sunday

After getting a decent night's sleep at his place, Mitchell was up bright and early to direct the workers around the theater. Between the sleep and last night's visit to the Nest, he was in a reasonable mood, and not nearly as irritable as he often was coming back from Bristol.

"Christ, they got this straight out of a film, didn't they?" he said philosophically to the worker putting up the sign at the front. He was staring at the city in the distance.

The worker just shrugged.

"It feels like a double bill sort of day."

"Fairly well," and only occasionally disastrous, Mitchell didn't add. "The vampires of Bristol have officially calmed down."

Kate was appeased by that just enough not to point out how she felt 'vampires' and 'calming down' didn't often seem to go together in a sentence.

"Well, good, I guess," she said, then couldn't think of anything to add.
