Fixer Uppers, Sunday

Another day in Japan, another day of rain. Jim sighed as he looked out the front window of Fixer-Uppers, chin resting in his hands, daydreaming of the good old days, where there was sunshine, and...

And mostly sunshine, really.

Once he got over the ho-hum attitude brought on by a week of rain, he'd probably get around to trying to work an alternative power source into his solar surfer. It had been a really fancy doorstop all week.

Sigh.

The Gig, Sunday

Firekeeper and Blind Seer arrived at the Gig today just long enough to check in on the horses, groom, and feed them. With Katniss's Games now in full swing, they felt their place was there with the others, keeping watch. The horses would understand.

After getting a decent night's sleep at his place, Mitchell was up bright and early to direct the workers around the theater. Between the sleep and last night's visit to the Nest, he was in a reasonable mood, and not nearly as irritable as he often was coming back from Bristol.

"Christ, they got this straight out of a film, didn't they?" he said philosophically to the worker putting up the sign at the front. He was staring at the city in the distance.

The worker just shrugged.

"It feels like a double bill sort of day."

Yes, all was well at the theater. For once.

Last weekend had been... weird.

And this week had not been much better. Dolf had gone into the city once, then avoided doing so again. While he loved exploring, there was something deeply wrong about this Tokyo, and it unsettled him.

The rain, on the other hand, made him feel a bit more at home, even if it meant coming in to work with an umbrella and wet blotches on the edges of his slightly-too-long pants. "Please say the panda stayed in," he sighed at Apu, as he wrinkled his nose.

The stench of wet fur said otherwise.

Dolf sighed, and trudged into the towel aisle.

It was still raining and Isabela looked much like a drowned cat when she made it to the Devil's Nest, a little too late. Today's attempt at exploring this city had not gone well and truly wrong, but Isabela was still unscathed and no one would be the wiser. Honestly, that place had been more confusing than the island was, and Isabela could admit when she was in over her head. She was also rather good at getting the hell out of dodge.

Her bandanna was spread out on the towel rack and she was trying to get her hair to dry. At least the whiskey was helping her to warm up. Now if only the music wouldn't be quite so headache inducing. What was that anyway? Her crew had been more musical than that.
