Mystery Sign Theatre 3000, Sunday

The NOW SHOWING sign said GOODBYE, KATE, which hadn't actually been Mitchell's idea; he'd shown up in the morning to find it already hanging there. Apparently it could be blamed squarely on Box Office Guy, but Mitchell chose not to question him about it.

He did order them about to set up the drinks in a slightly more party-like configuration, put out some bowls of nachos, and promised the staff they'd shut down early to make it a proper party. Sort of.

Incidentally, Mitchell was also heavily repressing the fact that she was leaving. He did things his way, okay?

Jack hadn't made it to Kate's other farewell party -- something about being a graduate at a student party didn't sit well with him -- but he was curious enough (and would miss Kate enough) to stop by this one before his bar shift.

He wasn't repressing the fact he was leaving soon too. He was just not thinking about it. There was a difference.

"It looks nice in here," he observed, snagging a palmful of chips. "Hello."

"Yeah, the guys really put some work in," Mitchell agreed, sipping on a coke and managing to make it look hipster anyway. "Hey, Jack. How've you been?"

"Not bad," Jack answered, swallowing a bit of chip. "There was a dance last night, and I managed to make some girl feel bad about trying to swipe my wallet. And then I'm back to school a week from Monday. You?"

"Keeping busy," Mitchell said; he didn't think 'playing battery to a succubus' or 'still fucked up about Annie' were the right answers, here. "My only employee is leaving this week, so everyone's kicking up a fuss."

He gave a subtle head-nod towards Box Office Guy, who did seem a little torn up.

"Kissed a girl," Kate replied, shrugging a shoulder. "Played drinking games, suffered a terrible hangover the next day. All in all, I think it went well."

Kate looked pretty damn happy when she showed up, having seen the sign out front and everything. Hey, it was hard not to feel great when people were throwing parties for you! Even if she was kind of being repress-y about leaving, too.

She clapped her hands together pretty gleefully at the sight of the concessions. In a row. Aww.

This no-classes thing was awesome. Okay, it was a Sunday, she'd have no classes anyway. But still!

Kenzi wandered in in-between shows, and looked thoughtfully at Box Office Guy. Mitchell, or not-Mitchell? He didn't seem hot enough to be a non-human dating Bo, really. Hmmmm.

So he glanced up and caught Kenzi's eye eventually, looking confused. "Do you need help with anything?" he asked.

While Bobby wasn't exactly thrilled at the prospect of his roommate leaving, he did enjoy a good party. And it wouldn't do to miss this one, so. Here he was. Availing himself of the soda and candy, which should come as a surprise to... exactly no one.

"Bobbyyy," Kate drawled at him, happily. Yeah, she was choosing to take this as an opportunity to be bubbly and happy instead of really acknowledging this was all because she was leaving. "You came! To have snacks."
