The Park, Monday Evening

Portals elsewhere might break, send you to the wrong planet, or leave you hanging; this one was forever faithful to its own schedule.

Sadly, for those denizens of the island who might have grown attached to their children, that meant it was time to say goodbye. The portal popped up blazing purple in the center of the park, calling to those it had taken here just a few days ago.

Time to go, time to go home, children.

"That might be the best - and most impossibly Fandom - compliment I've heard in a while," Bruce said, turning toward the dorms to walk with Quinn. "I'm just curious how you got me to settle down. That's a future I never really saw for myself."

And he meant that in an extremely literal way thanks to weekends like this.

"Excellent feminine wiles?" Quinn guessed, teasing. "Seriously, you got me. None of your other kids were from boring married couples?"

It was the only future Quinn ever saw for herself.

"If your feminine wiles are that good, you could be much more dangerous than I ever thought," Bruce joked.

"I've had a couple kids that seemed to be from marriages, but nothing as... normal as this one, really," Bruce said. "Definitely no situations I'd really want to raise a kid in." Especially since he still seemed to be fighting crime in them. And that was no situation for him to take on the responsibility of raising a child.

Nope. He still had no clue about any Robins in his future.

"I'm deadly," Quinn told him, solemnly as she could manage. "I guess maybe this was just to ... give you an alternative? There's probably somebody out there who could convince you to settle down and produce somebody like Ethan."

"That makes sense. But don't go getting too much of an ego about the fact that you could possibly pull that one off," Bruce said.
