The Park, Monday Evening

Portals elsewhere might break, send you to the wrong planet, or leave you hanging; this one was forever faithful to its own schedule.

Sadly, for those denizens of the island who might have grown attached to their children, that meant it was time to say goodbye. The portal popped up blazing purple in the center of the park, calling to those it had taken here just a few days ago.

Time to go, time to go home, children.

[[ for your AU kidlet goodbyes! Sniff. ]]

Oh thank god. Three days and Jaye could finally send the kid on his way.

Don't get her wrong. As kids go, he wasn't horrible. Plus he was good for things like snarking on TV shows and changing the channel with the power of his mind. Maybe she could rent out a Jedi to do that stuff for her from now on.

She brought OJ to the portal and then... Were there supposed to be like, hugs or something now? She was generally a bad hugger. "So... bye?"

Oh please, like OJ hugged. He was a thirteen-year-old boy and that was his mom.

If Bo wanted a hug, though... Did he look around to check for her? Yes he did.

"Bye," he said with a shrug. "I'll see old you in like five minutes."
fates_jaye: (omg you just said that)

Jaye stuck her hands on her hips. "I am not old. Ever. It's just not possible."

"Sure, you say that now," he replied.
fates_jaye: (whatever)

"Yeah, you should go now," Jaye told him, frowning. "Tell Obi-wan he still owes me child support for this weekend."

"He laughed at that idea the last time you sent me back with that, too," he said, and gave a little wave that was totally cool and not at all lame before stepping through the portal.

He'd tell his dad, though. Just to see if his reaction had changed at all.
