With no detention to be in today (no, seriously, someone burn that place down please), Jaye was back at work, and using Tino as her entertainment. Not that she had to do anything to him. He was just getting really, really into the swimming races tonight, and Jaye kept making little bets with herself on when he'd give himself an aneurysm.

Was this not how you were supposed to enjoy the Olympics?

Atton had been here three nights in a row. Did he care? No, he did not. He was gonna sit here and drink his whiskey and be at peace with that.

She was not. She just had charges pressed against her more often than she'd like.

He was fairly sure he wasn't doing anything illegal. He'd done enough illegal things to know the difference.

This was conversations with Jaye: vague attempts at extortion in order to prevent hypothetical lawsuits that were never going to happen ever.
