Caritas- Tuesday

Kitty's good mood from the weekend had lasted all the way through to today. (Shut up.)

And then she came in to work and got her very first dose of Tino's saga with the barista. Besides hoping that wasn't what she looked like (it wasn't), this saga seemed to be an epic one, in the way that it didn't end and she couldn't escape having to hear about it short of leaving early or firing him or something.

Come in, people. For the love of god, give her something else to do.

A packet of developed photographs landed on the bar in front of Kitty.

Said photographs had been brought by Topher, who settled onto a barstool, looking pleased with himself. "More Angry Birds," he explained sagely.

"You actually brought proof," she said, picking up the photos to look through them, because this was something she had to see. "I can't believe anyone was sober enough to work a camera..."

"Eh... ish." The photos where you could actually make out a dude with wings flying around were possibly outnumbered by the ones featuring cameos of people's thumbs. "Not so much. But there's a few good ones in there! Like, ten."

If you were picky about picture clarity, maybe five.

"And you went to the Savage Land?" she checked, tilting her head at a photo to try and get a better angle.

"Antarctica plus dinosaurs? Yup." He nodded. "Warren got his girlfriend one as a pet. And Victor got a goat."

He shrugged.

"Possibly a prehistoric goat."

"Like, we're not going to have a raptor running around, right? Because I have some objections there."

"Personally I'm glad it's not a horse."

"What is the most ridiculous drink that you sell?" You know, pink or umbrella-ed, or... on fire. She wasn't fussy.

It was getting on for half way through Angela's last week here. She was all about ridiculous.

Kitty smiled and thought for a moment. "Okay, most of the really ridiculous ones I know are shots," she said, and grabbed a napkin to write a drink name on it, just so Angela could actually say it. "Order away, my friend."

Angela's grin broadened. "I would just love one Daisy Duke's Dirty Panties."

Of course she would. Kitty you found a winner.

"How long have you been waiting for someone to order one of those?"

"Someone asked for it at my last job, I think just to see the look on my face," she replied, starting to get the drink together. "So, you know. At least a year. Totally worth it."

"I make it a point to exit on a high note." And a drunk note, most likely. "And you're helping me, so I'm giving a little back." Making her bartending shift that bit more amusing.

Savannah took her seat on a bar stool next to Angela.

"I'll have what she's having," she asked Kitty.

No, Angela still wasn't entirely sure what had gone into her glass. Did that matter? She was loving it.

"My last week, and I think I have the drink I should've been ordering here all summer."

Savannah, on the other hand, was in denial about Angela leaving soon.

Angela's opinion on this drink might change once she, y'know, actually drank it. But she had high hopes... for a drink whose reviews mentioned fire and hairy ass.

It would be hard to forget, and Angela probably ordered it for just that reason.

"A few too many of these and we might not be so sure in the morning." Which is why Angela would be pocketing the napkin Kitty wrote it on for her at some point tonight.
