Kitty was having one of those days where a lot of little things was going wrong. Forgetting her phone at home and having to go back for it, spilling quite a few things and deciding that maybe leather pants were a bad idea today, breaking a glass without the excuse of being really stupid to back it up, that kind of thing. By this point she was sort of just waiting for the next thing to go wrong.

Kitty!

Stiles hadn't been in town for awhile, he knew that, but he figured it was safe to venture outdoors now that he was semi-sure Derek wasn't going to kill him anymore.

"Hi, Kitty," he said, giving her a wave. "Can I have a beer that you don't have to pour?"

So one in a bottle then.

"Whatever kind is the easiest for you to get."

"Thank you for going easy on me," Kitty said, getting a bottle to hand over. "The more I don't spill or break things, the better I'll feel."

"So you're living a day in the life of me." Because, really, he was like the king of breaking stuff. "Don't worry, people will be less likely to judge you on your clumsiness because you're hot."

Kitty smiled a little at that. "Thanks. That does sort of make me feel better," she said. "So how are you doing?"

"I'm alright. Nobody's actively trying to kill me, anyway," Stiles said. "So I consider that a win."

"And I'm definitely glad to hear it," Kitty said. "Let's keep that up for a while, okay?"

"I'll do my best." It would certainly be easier to do if Derek stopped getting mad every time an alternate version of Stiles did something stupid. "How have you been? Haven't seen you in awhile."

"Aside from today, I've been good," Kitty said, leaning on the bar. "I'm kind of expecting something to go bad because of it, actually."

Another reason she was worried after Saturday...

"You know you just jinxed yourself, right?" Stiles said before taking a swig of beer. "Actually you might have jinxed both of us considering I'm sure you'd be devastated if something bad happened to me."

"I would, which is why I did not just jinx both of us, because that would be mean," Kitty pointed out.

"You could have done it by accident," he said. "If I go outside and catch hypothermia I will know who to blame."

"Do I have to ask you not to catch hypothermia?" Kitty asked.

"I'm not quite that eager to prove someone wrong." Well... "If you were Derek then maybe, yeah, you'd have to ask."

Kitty frowned and asked, "Can I ask what's going on with you two?"

"Uh, we're not exactly friends right now? We weren't really friends before, but yeah, it got worse," he said. "He was mad that I didn't tell him about the shitty stuff that went down in his future, which is my past."

That was probably a Captain Obvious moment but it kept things straight in his head.

"Ahh." And knowing about Laura, she could kind of see why. "I was wondering what happened to the Der-Bear stuff. Why didn't you tell him?"

"Because he probably would have gotten himself killed trying to stop it," Stiles said. "He's alive in my timeline so I figured it was better to keep things as they were."

If he didn't seem very remorseful it was because he wasn't. He hated what happened to Laura, yes, but he justified his actions to himself awhile ago.

"He started texting me again to bitch about me getting him arrested so we're sort of talking now."

She couldn't really fault that logic. Well, she could, but she got where he was coming from.

"I'm surprised he told you about that," Kitty admitted. "But I'd say it's a good sign."

"Oh I expect him to bitch about every horrific thing the other me puts him through. It's not like he can complain to the source," Stiles said. "At this point the other me is probably still terrified of him and more likely to pull the 'my dad's the sheriff' card and get him shot."

"Please tell me that you doesn't do that," Kitty said.

TV and darts and stuff!

Up early cuz Eddie Izzard night! SP after 5 PST, afk after 7:30. Eeeeee.
