Valentine's Dance, Town Hall, Friday Evening

If there was one thing a Fandom Dance could be guaranteed to have, it was glitter. Thus the abundance of glitter coating the hall decorations should have come as no surprise to the arriving guests, that a large number of said decorations were pterodactyl-shaped may have.

But the theme was 'Love is in the Air', and if you did not agree that the mighty the pterodactyl was the most romantic of flying creatures, then maybe the winged cow was for you. Or perhaps the helicopter.

In any case, there were open doors, and unspiked punch, and the 2013 Valentine's Day dance was ready to welcome you all.

Jessica figured that Valentine's Day was probably a reasonable time to wear a dress with - GASP - color. And so she continued her slow but steady advance into having a nice wardrobe for a girl.

Jackson had no idea why he was even here. But he was, in his finest Hugo Boss, and that was what mattered. If nothing else, he could spike the punch and text Danny.

And feel good about how much less likely this dance was to go spectacularly wrong the way the last dance he'd attended had.

Korra wasn't exactly a dress type person, at least not when it didn't involve Water Tribe formal wear, but she'd stumbled across one that was fairly simple and she could move in, so why not?

Of course, she wasn't wearing heels, so she'd had to pin the hem of the dress up before leaving her room.

Bay thought about skipping the dance but decided to go in the end. It was a distraction from how very single she was, and she could always glare at any cutesy couples.

She put on a cute dress and joined the party.

Victor had a suit, a totally adorable date, and a birthday the next day. He was in a good mood as he got to the dance, even if glitter flying cows didn't exactly put him in the most romantic frame of mind.

Topher was getting used to the endless cycle of dance after dance (as well he should, since he was coming up on his two-year Fandom anniversary pretty soon), so by now, getting dressed and showing up for one of these things was a breeze. Plus, the theme was pretty kick-ass. He liked pterodactyls and helicopters (though winged cows were kind of a neutral point). Well done, StuCo.

Stiles was happy to be dressed a bit more casually than he was yesterday, even if it might be a too casual for a dance. Whatever, it wasn't Prom, people could deal with it.

He didn't know how long he'd stay since dances were not his thing, but he could make an appearance so nobody could call him anti-social.

Not that she was going to describe herself in such favorable terms, but Stephanie looked pretty damn good in her purple (of course) dress.

It was entirely possible that her cheerful expression added something to the whole effect.

Against her better judgment, Natalie actually showed up to this dance thing. But you could bet that she'd taken a long time to decide on it, and had every intention of bailing early and spending the rest of her 18th birthday in bed with a book if it turned out she didn't like it here.

But hey, at least she had a flattering green dress and everything.

Karolina didn't make a flashy entrance. She just kind of gravitated slowly towards the food tables to check out the vegetarian options, and keep herself from feeling too awkward.

Really, like half the reason she was even here was that she had a lovely dress to wear. She didn't even care it was maybe more of a summer dress than a dance one, she loved it and hadn't had a chance to wear it yet.

Jonothon was there, side-eyeing a pterodactyl with a raised eyebrow. His idea of romance really didn't involve the native wildlife of the Savage Land, but then, he wasn't all that great at relationships in the first place, so what did he know?

If he kept going back to sample the punch tonight, it was absolutely quality control, and not because he was secretly hoping that one of the students had managed to spike it already. Honest.
