Caritas- Tuesday

While Kitty would have been perfectly happy staying in Hawaii for... like, ever, really, she had to work, and so they'd gotten back in time for her shift. So anyone coming in today would get a tanner, happier Kitty than they would have the last couple weeks. (Not difficult, since one of those weeks was spent in a dungeon.)

Since the last time Allie had spoken to Kitty they'd been trapped in a dungeon, Allie figured it was time to check in.

"You look cheerful," she said as she took a seat at the bar.

"I got a long weekend in Hawaii and the place hasn't blown up. Not only that, I don't think anything bad had happened," Kitty explained. "It's reason for cheer."

"It has been pretty quiet. I figure after the last few weeks, the island owes us," Allie replied. "So I am not complaining, at all."

"Also, everyone's probably still sleeping and avoiding the outside world," Kitty said. "True Blood?"

"No thanks, I'm good." If Allie had learned one thing in the dungeon it was that it was better to not get used to feeding too often. "That about sums up my week. Lots of sleep and working my way through a couple of new books."

"I think that is a perfectly valid way to recover," Kitty said. "I wish I'd done more of both those things last week." At least till Friday. After Friday she was fine with.

"Stop by and raid my book collection so you're prepared the next time." Because she knew that there more then likely would be a next time. "I've got whatever you're in the mood for. Trashy romances to political histories that put me to sleep even when I'm supposed to be wind awake."

"I will, thanks. Especially since I brought an engineering book the last time I was on vacation and read through the whole thing." Kitty was a nerd, yes.

"Sure," Kitty said, "though I have to warn you it's one of my old textbooks and weighs about thirty-five pounds. I don't think that's much of an exaggeration."

"Long as you pay for the medical bills when I stab myself in the eye with it," Dean replied with a grin.

"I think I can live with a glass," Dean assured her. "If you switch it from a beer to some Jack and ice."
