The Street in Front of the Boards, Thursday Evening
It had been a more or less quiet trip back to the island from Glacia, today. Jono had to deal with a bit of an uncomfortable Portalocity stopover in a world where everything seemed to be made out of chocolate, and now he smelled strongly of it, but at least he hadn't done anything terribly awkward like take a bite out of one of the locals, or attempt to sit on a park bench.
... Either he would've melted through it, or just crushed the bloody thing. Either way, that would have ended poorly.
Once he'd gotten back to the Boards, he'd taken care of the essentials. Plugged in his power packs, spent an hour or two in his office checking mail and making certain the bills were paid. He even took some time to flip through a few scripts he had on standby for... well... whenever the hell he was going to have time to put on another show, here. It wasn't exactly easy to guess if or when he'd ever see the end of the war in Glacia, after all.
With all of that out of the way, he'd decided to take some time for himself to do something he hadn't had an opportunity to do in months. The lights inside the building were off while he charged his equipment, but out on the sidewalk, just in front of the building, there was plenty of light for him to play his guitar by while he made himself comfortable leaning back against the wall.
It was good to be home again, even if it was only going to be for a few days.
[Open sidewalk, naturally!]

So sorry, Jono.

"Er. Can I help you?"

"... And what would you have me sign, exactly?"
For the record, he thought this girl was insane. Was she one of Miley's fans? If she was here because of him in that ridiculous make-up, singing a duet with Hannah Montana on youtube, so help him...

"You are?" A beat. "Your what? Luv, there is no bloody way you're old enough to bare your chest at me so that I can take a pen to it."

Jono was starting to get the distinct impression that not all was exactly normal on the island of Fandom, today.
"I... don't see why not?" He gave the boy a confused sort of once-over at that. "Do I dare ask what the second question is, mate?"
no subject
"And now to make that my profile picture...." Yes, he was going to do that right now. He told you to hold on, Jono! Just do it!
no subject
See, Jono could be patient. See how patient Jono could be? He was staring at Patrick like he was a madman, but at least he was doing so patiently.
"Profile picture for what, exactly?"

Jono had been, until that very moment, unaware that this was even a thing worth debating.

"Oh, wow, I totally thought they wrote you out," she said. "Your makeup looks amazing. Are you back for real or is this, like, a guest appearance?"
no subject
... Was that a spoiler?
Did Jono care? It wasn't like anyone had made him sign some sort of non-disclosure agreement.
"Unless they kill me off or something, I suppose."
no subject
She'd been okay with Jono being written off, but dead was a different thing.

But then, he had a few self-esteem issues going on, there.
"Well, I'll be doing everything in my power to see to it that I'm not killed off, at least. I'm actually rather fond of being around, these days."

"I miss it up there," he admitted. "I'm not sure I'm the best thing for some of these students, but I give it my all, all the same. I'm sure if I get the opportunity, I'll teach again someday."

Music was still new enough to Allie that she decided to pause in her nightly wanderings and listen for a bit.

It had been a while since he'd played. He was coaxing music out of it now with the same sort of tenderness that someone might make love to someone long thought lost.
"Good evening for it, hm?"

What with all of the beatings there would be.

"I think any man with a healthy appreciation for living would probably be at least slightly intimidated by a set of fangs," he offered, giving his shoulder a shrug. "I can't imagine you're any less capable of giving him an unpleasant evening with yours as Eric is."
