Caritas- Sunday

Right, so Kitty had no idea what had happened today, but she'd gotten to hit things and hopefully never had to hear Handsome Jack's voice again so she was going to call it a success.

And since they'd come to the end of a traumatic week, Kitty went to open the bar, just in case anyone felt the need to drink, or wtf, or stress that they hadn't had time to prep for finals.

Sam hadn't been to one of the bars on the island in a while, and oh, it was time. It was totally time.

"I'll start with a double scotch, please," she said, sounding very sure of herself while also looking more than a little bit flustered.

"Should I be surprised that this place is open tonight?"

"Not really," Kitty said with a little smile as she started getting the drink together. "It's been a long week, thought I should open in case people needed it."

"Well, it's very considerate of you," Sam said firmly, smiling. "It's a bit less unsettling to be just one of a bar full of people drinking off the terror."

Riley wandered in and took a seat. He tapped his hands against the bar and looked around.

"That was new."

For him, it was a first!

"It was," Kitty agreed. "How're you doing after that?"

"...not bad, actually," Riley said after thinking about it for a few seconds. "I mean, could be worse, right?"

He shrugged.

"How about you? Were you out doing any fighting? I wasn't."

Guess why that was, Kitty! Just guess!

"How bad did it get around here?" Bruce asked. "Sorry, I've been out of town for a few days."

"Uh, from what I hear, it got pretty bad," he said after a moment. "But, I also stayed inside where I was safe and wouldn't trip anyone who could actually fight and stuff."

"Thank god I'm not the only one who thought that," Sam said, sounding relieved. "What a... fascinatingly traumatizing week."

"That's a really good way to put it," Riley said after some thought. "It was fascinating but I also don't want to ever leave my apartment again."

Bruce wandered into the bar tonight with a confused look on his face.

"I can't help but feel like I missed something the past several days," he said as he took a seat.

"Paris," Bruce said. "I had some business to take care of out there, which turned into a vacation once the party invitations started."

After spending most of the last few nights fighting various creatures around the island, Allie found the calm that had settled over the island oddly reassuring.

"Let me guess," she said as she took a seat at the bar. "I missed the big finale."

"Kind of? The bad guys didn't get what they want so they're leaving," Kitty said. "But there were robots."

"So, that was a thing," Clint said as he sat down. A very weird thing, if he was being honest. "I've definitely earned a beer."

Sometimes I get self-conscious that I post too much and you've probably gotten sick of it. Then I remember that people can scroll and/or look at pretty icons and then I don't feel bad anymore.
