From the library to the Arms Hotel, Thursday evening
After researching in the library and online in his office all day, Hannibal packed up his bag and stepped outside of the school. He'd "called" for Jono a few minutes ago, since the streets seemed to be getting more and more crowded with...things.
As much as he wanted to stay on top of things, he was beginning to wonder if he should have returned to Baltimore. Then again, the danger was rather exhilarating, even mitigated by an escort.
Hannibal still wasn't an idiot; he might be able to manage some of the newest risks himself (and the vikings responded rather well to alcoholic bribery), but he wasn't about go up against dinosaurs on his own.
[OOC: Expecting one, but open to anyone foolhardy or adrenaline-junkie enough to be wandering the streets!]

//Sorry that took a while,// he shared as he slipped through the doorway into the school. //Bears.//
That hadn't actually taken that long. He'd sort of vaporized them.

Having no eyes meant that watching it was a tricky endeavour.
//And the warehouse district is attempting to build a volcano, I think. At this rate, there won't be an island left in a few days.//

The way the ground was shaking underfoot?

//Definitely something big, nasty, and headed this way.//
The roar of the dinosaur that came directly after that observation pretty much confirmed that, yes. Hello, Allosaurus. How are you this evening?

//North,// he reported. //Just one. And it smells fresh meat.//

Jono was really in no mood to get himself eaten alive tonight, even if the odds were good that he'd survive the experience. Which actually made the idea even more horrifying, truth be told. He planted his feet and crouched forward a little, facing north.
//Just tell me what part of th'bastard you don't want to save for later, and I'll take care of the rest.//

The Allosaurus roared again, stomping toward them, breaking into a run straight down the street.
And Jonothon send forth a burst of flame, aimed directly at the creature's head.

It was one of those sights that was probably best left to the imagination.
The creature went down, and the entire street rattled as it skidded across the cobbles, coming to rest in a heap only a few feet away from Hannibal and Jono, a steaming mess of ragged meat all that was left of its neck.
And Jonothon was going to just take a moment to lean against the wall. Because that had taken a bit out of him, not power-wise, but because he had literally been touching the dinosaur with his psi-power when it died, and feeling a life snuff out while in direct contact with one's consciousness was always a little jarring. A moment later, he pulled his helmet back on.

He turned from Jono to the dinosaur, put his rifle away, and pulled out a large knife. "If we are safe for the moment?"

Somewhere in the multiverse, a strange man in a blue police box was likely wondering why he suddenly wanted to smack a headless bloke right then.

If the strange man in the blue box showed up, he might want to watch who he let in the box.
