Still, he'd stepped outside, and now he was basking in the quiet as he took a stroll around the block. He'd spotted the flyers before the man who was hanging them, took the name and the phone number into consideration, had himself a vaguely amused moment, and then continued on his way. When he spotted Sam actually hanging the flyers, however, he couldn't help but speak up.
//Got your work cut out for you around here, mate.//
Also, hello, Sam.

He turned to see who was talking to him, forcing himself not to linger on the wrappings on the guy's face. "You've gotta try at least," he replied genially.
no subject
//You've got to try,// he agreed with a little nod of his head, holding out his hand toward Sam. //Though I'd argue it's a job for masochists, I'm really not one to talk, I suppose. Jonothon Starsmore, current 'Coping With Change' teacher over at the school.//
He was simultaneously absolutely qualified, and possibly the least qualified person for the job, too.

Sam took the offered hand with a grin. "So now I know who to go whining to."

He glanced around at the copious steps around them, and then shrugged.
//They'll do wonders for the thighs, I suppose. All the better, around here.//

"Oh, did you ever pick a town that needs this," she said.

He was just so adorably new!

She guessed, since she'd already met Flash.

Oh no. He wouldn't benefit from something like this at all. Especially not that penultimate thing.

LIKE SOMEONE STANDING RIGHT THERE.
no subject
Yes, that was a verb, now.

But he would have cookies at the session. Because he freaking loved cookies, okay?

Huh.
She quirked an eyebrow at Sam when she spotted him putting up another sign. "You shrinks finally found trauma central, huh?"
no subject
Sam's eyebrows went up at the sight of her, but it was a decidedly 'not bad' reaction. "People keep telling me that."
no subject
She shrugged lightly. "Yeah, guess we're kind of predictable that way," she said, and offered a hand for the man to shake. "Hey, I'm Jack. You're new."
