MHA Pool- Saturday afternoon/evening

It was the first day of summer and we're going to act like the weather cooperated for the duration of this party and with nothing too terrible happening lately- at least in Fandom- so the way Kitty figured, that was enough reason to get together and do something fun.

The pool was clean and ready for people to actually use, there was food and drink set out and upbeat music playing, and hopefully it was late enough in the day that those who had to work or who were daylight challenged weren't going to be put out. And Kitty wouldn't actually kick anyone out if they didn't wear a bathing suit. She just wanted to make sure people made an effort.

They did have to wear clothes, though.

Mingling

There's (moddable) food and drinks (alcoholic and non) and (hopefully) people to talk to. Or you can stand off to the side and people will come to you anyway.

Jono was clearly not here for the 'pool' part of this pool party, being clad in a pair of black jeans and his usual wrappings under a band t-shirt. He was also not here for the food or the drinks, for what he hoped were obvious reasons to anyone who knew what was under those wrappings. But he was quite content to show up and pick a place off to the side so that he could socialize a bit. He wasn't planning on sticking around long, but it was good to get out of the apartment and be in the company of other people all the same.

Okay, he was longingly side-eyeing the drinks maybe a little anyway.

Hannibal was here! He needed a bit of a break from the intensity of everyone around him at the moment, and this seemed like an interesting idea.

He had, as usual, brought his own food, though. But he brought enough for everybody!

Grilled potato and goat cheese napoleon with balsamic basil viniagrette
Crostini with sweet ricotta, honey, and toasted hazelnuts

You know that spot by the pool where there wasn't a person in swim trunks, an open Hawaiian shirt, and sunglasses with a drink in his hand, talking loudly so he could make himself the center of attention?

In the blink of an eye, that spot was occupied by exactly that person. "Thank you all for coming to my surprise going away party! But really, you shouldn't have. It should have been much bigger, with strippers. But I can't stay mad at whoever you people are. Thanks for coming."

Mike hadn't been home or in Fandom a whole lot lately. Sometimes stress made him fall back on old patterns of behavior that maybe weren't the greatest.

But he was here in his swim trunks, looking relaxed. It was the surface that mattered, right?

Riley was arriving a little late in the day, unfortunately stupid real life work. But, he'd made it eventually, armed with sunscreen because he was a person that burned easily.

Oooooh, food! Right. Also to get her seafood on. Excuse Pammy while she proceeded to bankrupt whoever decided to throw this party.

Hannibal had a suit! And he was a good swimmer with no traumatic associated memories until next weekish. So he'd be there from time to time.

Once it had gotten darker, it was time for everyone to grab a drink (alcoholic or non) and play one of those games that is always a good idea.

Kitty really had to think about how to start. It was always rough coming up with things at the beginning, and then after a drink or two it was really easy.

Seriously, Jono needed to find some way to participate that didn't involve reporting to all and sundry that he would be drinking if he could. He'd figure something out before the game was through, perhaps.

There really had to be some sort of sweet spot between 'things that Jono had never done' and 'things that everyone else had done,' but so help him, it was difficult to find one. Never been cloned? That would likely be a dry round. But he'd been skinny dipping and he'd been in the tabloids and he'd been accused on at least one occasion of fathering a celebrity's child. He was running low on options, here.
