NYE Party- Caritas- Wednesday

As of tonight, 2014 was over.

And whether you were looking forward to a fresh start, or wanted to celebrate the end of a terrible year, or the end of a good year even, or just wanted somewhere to go, there was a party happening. Caritas was still decorated in Christmas lights and the zombies were in tuxes (and Kitty was not going to ask how that happened nor was she going to help them change), and there would be champagne at midnight and tacky "Happy New Year" hats for everyone no matter what time they were here.

Time to ring in the new year!

Atton wasn't a big fan of parties in general, so it wasn't like he'd come here on purpose. It was that he'd come in to have a drink and then a party had just kind of appeared, and well, he'd found himself drifting to where the food was. So sue him.

So there he was, chewing on some snacks and eyeing the room.

Éponine had already ordered at least three drinks from Tino by the time she made it into the back room with a fourth (at least) drink in hand, so because Bailey's and cream happened to put her in a fairly good drunk mood she took a hat with a lot less skepticism than she might have otherwise.

She got herself some snacks and took up residence at a table where hey, at least with snacks to distract her it might be a little while longer before she had to order a fifth drink.

Sia hadn't felt like staying in tonight, so the party seemed like her only real option. So she showed up, got a glass of something she could nurse for a while, and watched to see who else was here.

Irene wasn't sure how to feel, exactly, about the new year. She seemed to have skipped 2013 entirely, and had only half of 2014 under her belt.

But, all the same, even if her old self would cringe at spending the evening in a bar in America, she couldn't imagine anywhere she'd rather be, really. As one of the many Holiday Orphans roaming the halls of the desolate dorms, Minako was not going to spend a NYE alone in her room with her cat, or patrolling by herself.

Party first! ...then patrolling on the mainland.

She had a hat and some non-alcoholic punch and was totally ready to party.

Technically Kitty wasn't working tonight, but she was still playing hostess at her own bar and that was probably working.

But she was also working with a "Happy New Year" hat on, so. There was that.

The new year in Wonderland wasn't any sort of huge event so Hatter was interested to see how it was celebrated in the land of oysters.

He put his best hat on (it was the same hat he always wore) and wandered into Caritas. If nothing else, it gave him something to do for the night.

She was a dork, this should be news to no one.

It had been an eventful year and Nathan figured that ending it in a manner similar to how his arrival here had started seemed only right.

He grabbed a drink (and didn't even realize it had alcohol in it) before wandering around the back room, trying to stay mostly out of the way.

It was good to go to other people's parties some time; Hannibal hadn't seen some of the Fandom people for a while. So, here he was. With a drink in hand.

Clint grabbed a soda and some food and... okay, maybe he could be talked into a silly hat if it was absolutely necessary. All he knew was that this was better than sitting at home, alone with his dogs.

When the countdown starts on the TV, it's time to countdown along with it! And maybe find somebody to kiss. And maybe do a celebratory dance over the metaphorical corpse of 2014.
