Fandom High 20 Year Reunion Brunch, The Park, Sunday Morning into Afternoon

There was a small chance of rain on the island today, but as the weather was still warm enough, that had not stopped the school administration for having the customary brunch outdoors in the park. It just meant some more canopies had been set out, to protect both the alumni as well as all the food and drink on offer from any possible rain.

There were flowers and streamers in blue and gold on tables, as well as perhaps some tasteful glitter.

Okay, more than enough glitter. Sorry, bad habit.

There were still nametags around, if people wanted to use them. Old age makes the memory go, after all.

Peter arrived shortly after his wife - he'd taken a little detour, wandering around the island, buying some local soda at the local grocery shop, whatever the hell it was called again.

So yes, he was showing up to the brunch with his own drink. And a neat Peter Wiggin name tag, pinned to his suit.

It was the afternoon by the time Envy returned to him. Coincidentally, right from talking to his brother.

There were all kinds of moddable breakfast foods available, and plenty of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, since some people might want to remember this time later.

Day two, and Edward was still partaking of the brunch, thank you.

He was a bit put off by the relative rags in his younger self's closet, and they didn't fit so well anymore - you could see the tattoos on his skin poking through near the neck and the stomach. But they'd do for now.

He'd be home soon again anyway.

Atton showed up eventually, if late, got a plate full of breakfast foods and soda, and kind of loitered.

Years ago, he would've called this feeling 'being unsure what he was even doing here'. Nowadays, the insecurity had largely worn off.

He was just missing the Temple now, was all.

Isabelle still enjoyed a good Fandom High brunch, no matter what she may have sometimes claimed back home.

She was piling her plate pretty high.

After 24 hours and a few frantic comm calls, it was clear that Hazel was 20 years in the future (and more than slightly annoyed her mother seemed to have stood her up). Alana was still a little disappointed to lose the weekend with her daughter, but she knew better than to get too upset about the island's whims. She stocked a plate with blueberry pancakes and bacon and then lingered at the nacho station, wondering if she could add that to this plate as well or if guacamole would have to wait for a later visit.

Lottie was juggling a large plate of food and her phone -- which she was somewhat glued to this morning getting the latest updates on Shauna's boy drama, which in grand Tackleford tradition happened to correspond with a rash of attacks by an actual bogeyman.

im sure ur boy is not actually bogey. or he is. honestly could go either way.

Lottie was super helpful.

Envy thought she deserved something for managing to pry herself from the hotel room again. So, she had some of the sugariest pastries that the buffet had offered on the plate in front of her now.

She wasn't sure she'd be sticking around for very long, however. Maybe long enough to catch one or two familiar faces.

Cassandra had avoided yesterday's meal; the encounter with Anders had put her ill at ease, and she had needed time to think.

But today she was here, a stern figure sitting at one of the tables, her features sharper than in her childhood and marked with scars. Still thinking, mind you, but she was at least making an attempt to seem less troubled.

Cosima sat down with a muffin and a plate of fruit, and tried not to let herself check in on work on her phone too much. It was hard; Scott had sent her sheets and sheets of data on the latest research into the clones' lung condition, and all she wanted to do was get in there and see what he'd found.

But she'd be social, at least for a little while.

Kathy tucked away at her plate with gusto, enjoying the rare privilege of being outside without needing to watch her back.

And the bacon, yes. Definitely enjoying the bacon. And the mimosas, yum!

Hardison's nametag read just that, still no need for first names here. He had a glass of a bright orange drink that was most assuredly not juice and a tablet that he was futzing around with. Look, he was outside, he was mingling--ish--surely he couldn't be blamed for having some entertainment on the side?

That's what he was going to tell Eliot, anyway, if and when he came over to complain.

"Professor Hardison?" Really, he'd changed a bit, but not that much that Hanna felt she couldn't introduce herself again. "I don't know if you remember me, it's been years. Hanna Heller."

Eliot had given up on sneaking up on people once he got his cane, but Hardison was still an easy mark.

"You know," he said, leaning over Hardison's shoulder with no warning. "It's easier to talk to people if you look up every now and then."

Yesterday Kitty had been completely happy for a day off from real life, but today she wished she could check up on the kids. Lexi was old enough that she wasn't too worried there, but since Nate was little she wanted to be able to get in touch and make sure everything was fine.

But she also knew she'd be back tomorrow, and for today she should enjoy the time. Which for now meant getting coffee and finding a seat to people watch.

Anders wasn't properly attending the picnic, but he gave into curiosity during a break from work and stopped by to eyeball the crowd -- and claim some coffee and a pastry while he was at it.

"Anders?" Kathy called in disbelief. "Anders!" She broke into a run over to him, the speed of her passing disturbing several empty cups and paper plates. "I was looking all over for you yesterday," she declared, holding out her hands to him. "I wanted to say hello--to apologize--oh my gosh, you look like you haven't aged a day!"

This time around - and a bit late, since Ben had insisted on sleeping in and he hadn't wanted to argue - Ender showed up not in the thick of it, but on the outskirts.

He was happy to sit down in the grass, and look up at a sky that wasn't Lusitania's. It had been a long time.

It hadn't been in Envy's nature for a long, long time to be in the outskirts of anything. Even now, she'd only walked out here so she could get a photo to show Lilith once they were back home.

The tiny nod in greeting was, well... Ender was there. "Andrew."

Derek was giving the bacon a sad look from a safe distance in case Stiles spotted him being near forbidden food.

Mostly he was keeping an eye out for Barton to defend the honor of his kids.
