Tamsin's Office, Town Hall, Thursday Afternoon

"Didn't I give you the day off?"

Tamsin could distinctly remember giving Bright Eyes the week off, actually.

"Oh, no, no no no," Bright Eyes said, enthusiastically picking through stacks of paperwork. "No, no, no, we can't have that."

Tamsin pulled a face. "Well, can you at least have a day out of my office? Shoo. Go work at home."

Bright Eyes clutched the paperwork to her breast. (Several sheets of it fell to the floor.) "... Can I keep this?"

"Just get out of my sight," Tamsin sighed, and sank further into her chair.

"Have indeed," Tony replied with an easy grin.

"Ooookaaaay," Tamsin said slowly. She tilted her head. "What?"

"I'm counting on your sunny disposition to scare people off," Tony replied. "If you're up for playing doctor."

There was a kinky role playing joke in there somewhere. Some other time.

Tamsin processed that.

"Well, it's better than sitting here staring at paperwork all day," she finally said, tilting her head. "Let's go."

"I'll owe you one," Tony said, perking up a little like this had been a thoroughly pleasant surprise.

"You better buy me the next few rounds of drinks, that's for sure," Tamsin said, rolling her eyes again as she slid out of her seat.

"I would have done that anyway," Tony replied, walying backwards toward the door. "If only to control what could be thrown at me."

"Still afraid I'm going to dump a Virgin Mary on you?" Tamsin asked, walking after him.

"Consider it a healthy sense of self preservation." lolwhat.

[fjordicswagger]

"Since when do you have one of those?" Tamsin said dryly as they stepped outside.

"Recent acquisition." False.

He fell into step along side her, way too happy to have a different subject to discuss.

"I have a portal in my lab. Jessica built it."

[fjordicswagger]

"Of course she did." Tamsin smiled faintly. "That girl is way too much of a techhead."

"She's smart," Tony said with a shrug. "Better to apply it to something productive."

Rather than turn to a life of crime. Which totally seemed likely. Sure.

Yeah, Tamsin shot him a look. "Pretty sure whatever she chose to do would be way more productive than anything we've ever done," she said.

Tony shot her an amused look, but didn't disagree. "Don't doubt it."

He was firmly in the belief that Jessica would easily surpass him.

"So am I going to have to steal a lab coat for this?" Tamsin asked dryly.

"We'll return it, so it'll be more borrowing."

Totally important distinction, Tony.

"So I am going to have to steal a lab coat for this," Tamsin concluded. "Good to know."

Tony just sighed. "I'll make a note to donate to the hospital at a future a date."

Normal reaction to stealing a lab coat.

"It's just a lab coat. Don't get all soft on me. You're the one who wants to break into... wherever."

[imafuturist]

"I'm not soft." He was a marshmallow on the inside. "Don't ruin my rep as a heartless businessman."

[fjordicswagger]

"Who told you you were a heartless businessman?" Tamsin said dryly.

[imafuturist]

"The media," Tony replied. "The occasional disgruntled employee. My board of directors, but I think they meant it as a compliment."

Ugh.

"Well, they clearly never actually met you," Tamsin said, rolling her eyes.

Tony smiled at that, shaking his head. "Thank you for coming."
