The Boards, Thursday Evening

Jono had had big plans for tonight at the Boards, but the events of the last few weeks had thrown something of a wrench in the gears when it came to organizing the showcase he'd wanted to hold.

... Or even finding people to perform in it. Which meant that he was going to have to adjust his plans somewhat.

A lot.

There was a new sign up where the old one had been.

Due to Unforeseen Circumstances, The Fandom Showcase Has Been Cancelled.
Come in for an Open Mic Instead!
There's Beer.

When all else failed, bribe people to participate. And if anybody needed Jono, he'd be on the stage playing his guitar for the duration of the evening or until somebody else showed up who wanted to perform. Whichever came first.

"Any big hints or tips?" Dante asked.

He wandered over to a seat. The acoustic seemed like a sit-down kind of guitar, and as much as he enjoyed being a dick about a whole range of topics-- guitars were sacred.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes while you're getting a feel for it, keep in mind you don't have things like distortion to tool around with. S'funny. Most of the time, people are looking for tips going from acoustic to electric, not the other way around.//

Or at least in his experience they were.

Dante shrugged. "Still like electric best," he said, giving the strings an experimental brush. The sound was nice, at least. "That thing can growl."

Which was why he favoured his own electric guitars over most else.

Rarely, perhaps, but there were moments.

Dante snorted. "Don't usually have that problem," he said.

Though he was a weird kind of tense right now, and plucking the strings was almost soothing.

He settled back to lean against the stage, listening intently.

//There's a reason I learned fingerstyle, after all.//

He added, a moment later: "What's that?"

Jono's facepalm. He was doing a demonstration of it right there.

Which he also did a lot of, in fairness.
