Groovy Tunes, Sunday Night
Jono's brow was creased as he surveyed the damage to his music shop, arms crossed in front of himself, wishing for all the world that the streets of town were at least wide enough to get a truck in here or something. The damage around town was nothing to sneeze at all over, of course, but on the other hand, the basking shark that had crashed down on top of his shop, taking out half the (thankfully unoccupied) upstairs apartment and a good chunk of his storefront with it, had been fully grown.
Fully grown when it came to basking sharks meant that Jono had about 30 feet of fish to figure out how to get out of here before it went off.
And that was why he decided he'd apologize to the neighbours if anybody took exception to him running a chainsaw in the dead of night. He didn't have super strength, and didn't know anybody offhand who might, and so he was going to have to resort to slightly more crude means to be rid of the dead animal.
//Gonna smell like fish for months...//
He had to complain about the stupid things while he could. It was a distraction from the fact that he couldn't get inside to see what sort of damage had been done to his stock until the shark was out of the way.
[OOC: Not QUITE how the chainsaw thing was meant to go down, but Jono lives outside the box. Open!]

//Have we got any power packs with a charge? I could probably take it out of training wheels mode if you want to give it a try. Half a shark's nothing to sneeze at for somebody who's only ever used the collar to fly before, though. Might still be safer for me to go about it this way.//
Cutting off shark steaks that would look right at home in an episode of that Hanna-Barbera cartoon with the cavemen in it.

He rubbed Jono's back. "I'll return shortly."

//I appreciate it,// he muttered. //Bring my tool kit, too. Can't get to the one inside until this thing is out of th'way.//

He was prepared to be a good husband and help however he could.

//Thank you,// he said, holding out the chainsaw and reaching for the collar. Damn, but he missed using his collar. //Shouldn't take me more than a few minutes, at any rate. Then I can talk you through using it to form hard-light structures.//

It, too, was something else for him to focus on without thinking too hard on the damage inside.

//Okay... I think I've got it. It still won't give you quite the same fine-tuned abilities I had when I was using it, but I can't see much need for you to fabricate a dragon out of thin air and hard light anyway. It will lift things for you, though. A sort of extension on the same tech that it uses to lift you.//

//You remember how to fly with it?//

He reached out, found the right frequency to get a simple beam of hard light, and poked carefully at the crushed area he'd spotted, crumbling little bits away. He had a few false starts with losing the beam, but by the time he had a large enough hole, he had a decent handle on it.

//This is causing me actual physical pain,// he announced. //This hurts me.//
Which wasn't to say he wasn't slipping inside at the first possible opportunity.

Even if nothing was likely to kill Jono, it likely wouldn't be pleasant to fall through the floor or get a wall dropped upon him.

Then again, basking sharks were heavy enough there was a good chance the crane would just topple into the building, too.

//Cover me if it looks like the rest of that shark is gonna end up on my head,// Jono said, making his way over to the hole and lowering the chainsaw in first. //I'd rather not be crushed by a large fish if I can help it.//
He lowered himself in next, shaking his head as he looked around.
//Well,// he announced, //my old sofa's toast.//
It was a pretty sad sofa anyway. This was probably for the best.
