A week back, and the galaxy was kind of beginning to feel like it made sense again.

There. He was taking it simple today, lounging against the counter as he watched the zombie band play something mind-numbing.

A drink seemed like a good idea. Or two, or three... Probably not a whole bottle though.

It seemed like she had chosen the right day, unless half off prices was a regular thing. Anyway, it was a good reason to try a few different things, wasn't it? Even if she wasn't that bothered about the taste as long as it was drinkable.

"What do you have that can be taken neat?" she asked.

She had only tried whiskey.

"Whisky, vodka, brandy, rum, gin... there's a range beyond that, but those are the basics," Atton said casually.

"I've tried whisky, so one each of the others," Seivarden said.

She should be able to find her way home even after that.

Idly glancing around the room she caught sight of the zombie band.

"What... No, wait, I don't think I want to know."

"All of them?" Atton checked, turning around to grab the vodka. "Just ignore the zombies. They're harmless. I mean their taste in music is criminal, but technically they won't hurt you."

"Yes," Seivarden said. "What, people don't do that?"

Throwing another glance at the zombie band, she added, wrinkling her nose: "I'll just try not to look at them."

"Hey, I'm not here to question your lifestyle choices," Atton drawled, setting down a bunch of glasses in a row.

He filled the first one up with the vodka.

"I thought people liked questioning lifestyle choices here," Seivarden replied, sounding just a tiny bit sulking, while she watched Atton pour the drinks.

"No, actually, to be fair, that's not true. Not always true."

"Some of them, sure," Atton said, putting the vodka down in favor of the gin. "But I'm here to sell you drinks, judging just puts a crimp in sales."

"That's a very good approach," Seivarden said approvingly. "And you're lucky in that I can't judge the quality of the drinks either. Well, I can judge of they get me drunk or not. It's not like it's tea."

"Oh, this'll get you drunk," Atton said, pouring the next glass.

He shoved the vodka at Seivarden while he was at it. "No point in letting good booze go to waste while I'm pouring."

"You're right," Seivarden said, reached for the glass and downed the vodka. She coughed a little afterwards.

"Not bad."

"I'll let the Russians know," Atton said, filling up the third glass with some rum. "Gin's up next."

"I don't know who the Russians are," Seivarden said, reaching for the gin glass.

"The people who make vodka," Atton said. "Generally."
