Quark's, Saturday
Quark's had been taken over.
Mona had immediately replaced the bouncers Quark had on guard with appropriately cocktail-ladenNPC dabo girls, after checking to make sure they could both reasonably control their new powers. The banner and sign out front had been removed, and the sign above the bar now had accurate information, or as close as Mona could get to accurate, considering how often Quark liked to replace real liquor with the synthesized stuff.
Quark was busy pouting behind the bar, when he wasn't being interrogated by his new self-appointed manager.
"Now," Mona said. "What exactly was in the cocktail that opened that portal?"
"That's a proprietary recipe," Quark said. "I couldn't possibly reveal it to anyone but a trusted friend."
"I will rip your ears off. Slowly."
"It had bloodwine in it, I can tell you that!" Quark gave her a nervous smile, even as he covered his ears protectively. "I don't really remember all the rest. It got very distracting in here very quickly!"
Mona stared at him, clearly unimpressed. "Get out this 'bloodwine', then," she said. "We'll simply have to experiment until we get something right."

The bar
Re: The bar
Granted, she worked with Tino so she could only argue so much.
Re: The bar
She was also pleased to see not all bartenders in this world looked like they had an actual ass on their head.

She leaned back after she mixed the ingredients, watching the readings scroll by in front of her eyes.
"Interesting. Almost..."

"I knew that wormhole was trouble."
She'll be honest, trying to listen to that broadcast had her drifting off a few times, too many words and a lot of them weird, but she felt she picked up the gist of it. And the important parts of it, which, you know, involved apparently more alcohol.
"Fandom Trooper," she said, flashing her badge, because it made her feel all authoritative and cool, even if it didn't have nearly the ring to it that NYPD had. And she just wanted to emphasize the fact that this was part of her job, it was her duty, what a good cop she was. "What do you need to me drink? I mean, do."
Re: The bar
She pulled out more bottles of liquor.
"Vodka has physical effects. Rum is elemental, gin is transformative. Tequila tends to be more related to projections, which I'm guessing is the closest we'll get to 'makes holes in reality'."
Re: The bar
Yes, she realized that she was included in that now, but she had a pedigree, okay?
"And so that," pointing to the hole then considered the tequila, "is definitely considered a hole in reality..."

Leaning against the bar, she ordered a fruit juice.
Re: The bar
"Excellent choice. How about some tulaberry juice? It's very refreshing."
And extremely expensive.

The portal
Re: The portal
They overwhelmed the dabo girls in a moment, draining them nearly completely before spilling out into the bar.
Mona, with the speed and efficiency of long practice, downed a tequila sunrise and had a force field up to protect the bar in moments. The tremens bounced off of it, howling, and spilled out the door and into the street instead.
"Right," Mona said. "Who wants to go kill some of monsters?"
