Caritas- Tuesday
Kitty had months to go still here, and she worked one job that involved being on her feet all night.
So she'd invested in a tall stool on wheels that she could sit on and use to slide around behind the bar. Was it necessary? Absolutely not! But it was fun, so she was keeping it.

But the booze might. Besides, if the last few weeks were any indication, it would be a good way for her to find Seivarden so she could punch her in the face without any extra effort on her part.
Of course, there were flaws in this plan that she wasn't aware of, but...she wasn't aware of those flaws.
"If you guys don't have a policy of free drinks from first-time gremlin bite victims," she said, by way of introduction when she made it to the bar, "you should."

A look that was interrupted again by a faint hiss, hand to her right ear. "I really should get this looked at, but in the meantime, maybe if I drink enough, it'll go away enough for me to sleep tonight..."

"It's that stupid crybaby Seivarden and her stupid whining radio report on Saturday," she grunted. "Bad enough she makes us all listen to her bitch about her precious stupid hot leaf water, but then she goes and swears up a storm, which the squirrels censor, which means about fifty million beeps in a row, ringing in my ear, causing the crap equipment at the station to fry out with the most awful sounding feedback you can imagine. Feedback that I'm still hearing."
And she gingerly tried to rub the ringing away again.

"Good to see you're not singing to the animals anymore. That was disturbing."
Especially when she hadn't had any tea.

"You son of a--"
And with the rage that had been simmering in her since yesterday, with the ringing cressendoing in her ear, Rosa turned toward Seivarden and pulled back a fist. She said she was going to punch her in the face the moment she saw her, and she was going to make good on that promise...
...well, she was aiming for the arm, not the face, her one concession to her anger, with the intention of saying something like That's for my eardrums, you stupid crybaby asshole! but the moment she started throwing the punch, she disappeared...
...landing somewhere in the pond in the park, very confusing and very wet. She was learning all sorts of Fandom Island's quirks this week, it would seem.
And that was it, for at least a little bit. For about ten minutes. And then there was Rosa, still dripping wet , bursting through the door of the bar, with what seemed to be a lilypad stuck in her hair.
"What the HELL was that?"

...that disappeared. She blinked, slid off the stool and leaned her back against the bar, looking around the room, waiting for Rosa's sudden reapperance and continued attack. Since nothing happened, she relaxed a little, finished her drink and ordered another one, and...
...there Rosa was again. Seivarden put down her glass, a little too tipsy to really think too much about what had just happened.
"You have a flower in your hair."
no subject
"It's a lilypad, you stupid dumbass."
Technically a leaf, not a flower, right? Either way, Rosa's glare turned back to Seivarden and she held it as she stomped back over to her, an angry little storm of which the effect was dampened rather effectively by the fact that each stomp came with a nice little squishing sound inside her boots.
"What did you do?" she demanded, an accusatory finger flying as close to Seivarden's face as it could get. "How did you do that?"
Just as soon as it left her mouth, Rosa pulled back with a wince, trying not to show that she was in pain, but dammit, the ringing sang, piercing into her eardrum.

She emptied the glass. "That was good. I'll have another one."

At least he picked the thing up and made his way to the bar with it, holding it up and blinking at Kitty.
"This looks like it's got a story behind it."

"Rosa didn't know about the sanctuary spell before she tried to punch Seivarden," she explained, scooting back behind the bar. "Twice."

And Rosa scared her a little.
