Caritas- Tuesday

The zombies were back to making noise, and finally, worried that her poor daughter was going to end up thinking any of this was normal and okay, she'd gone ahead and gotten headphones to hook up to her phone and put directly on her stomach.

Sure it looked weird. But it was for the greater good.

Even if she still had to listen to whatever this was.

"I think you will pay it," Rosa insisted, practically giving the envelope the same nod. "I think you should pay it, and so does a few other people I've talked to, who agree that I wouldn't have this clinic bill if you hadn't gone and thrown a tantrum for the whole island on live radio."

She wasn't really expecting Seivarden to foot the bill, no, especially when her insurance would cover it just fine. But she was definitely going to try to see just how close she could push the issue.

Seivarden pushed the envelope back towards Rosa. "Oh, come on, why would I care about what a few unnamed people think. Blame it on the squirrels our your useless equipment, I have nothing to do with it."

And back it went.

"How can you say you had nothing to do with it?" Rosa asked, rolling her eyes. "Did you or did you not have a complete on-air meltdown about tea few weeks ago?"

Sure, her perception of things might have been skewed by her anger in the whole Alenko debacle, but she knew she wasn't misinterpreting that fun day.

"I'm saying that whatever I say on radio, it's the squirrels' fault if it affects your hearing. Or your equipment. Or you playing it too loud."

She looked at Rosa for a moment, mostly tired.

"What, did what I say bother you, apart from the noises the squirrels added? I hear they censor the word 'tea' now. Probably think they're hilarious. I bet people playing with tea do."

She sipped her drink. She was sincerely fed up with this place.
