Groovy Tunes, Sunday
Jono came in to work today and kind of... just paused in the door.
Squinted a little.
Attempted, after a few minutes, to negotiate with the stereo.
But no, no matter what he did, the bloody thing continued to play Wiggles music. One song in particular, in fact. And while he was certain that Fruit Salad was, in fact, probably Yummy Yummy, there was only so much of the same beat, over and over, saying those same words ad nauseam that he could handle.
Especially since, even after the stereo finally gave it up and stopped playing it around noon, Jono still had it stuck in his bloody head.
Why.
[OOC: ... Going on two weeks of having it lodged in my brain, save me.]

"Papa!"
And incoming hug, Jono.

She flung her arms around him, squeezing tightly.
"How have you been?"

He shrugged.
//I can't complain.//

"And to see you," she said happily. "But also for another lesson, if you don't mind."

Look, bad violin playing was... really bad.

//That'll change,// Jono promised her, trying not to look too amused. //With time and work. Is there anything you've been having troubles with?//

Sure, she only had beginners sheet music, but she was a beginner, so that was great, wasn't it?

//Excellent,// Jono said, nodding warmly. //Here, let's get you set up and you can demonstrate what you've got. Would you like a seat, luv?//

"I don't think so," she ventured. "I've been doing my practicing while standing, so it makes sense to keep standing, right?"
no subject
//If that's what you're most comfortable doing, then by all means,// Jono replied. //C'mon, then. Let's hear what you've got, and we can work with it from there.//

"I know how to tune it," she said proudly.
Hey, that was a pretty big deal, given that she'd had it for all of two weeks.
no subject
//Oh? By ear, or did you get yourself a tuner, luv?//
He was curious, okay?

//And do you check it against the tuner? After you do it by ear, I mean?//
He had no idea what her ear for music was like, but he had to admit he'd be impressed if it was that good already.

//Still, improvement, that's good,// Jono replied, settling back to lean against the nearby wall, arms crossing over his chest. //How is it now? Did you tune it before you left?//
no subject
"I thought it would be easier to do it there," she explained.
no subject
//Perfect,// Jono said, pleased, //then let's hear you play, luv.//
