Caritas- Tuesday
Kitty had had a good weekend, but she knew how these weekends could go, so she was here to be helpful. And she didn't even know about this new thing!
25% OFF IF YOU HAVE WEEKEND TRAUMA
Caritas was open, and the air conditioning was on. It was necessary.

Who would visit?
"But there were a few visitors to the island who were... interesting? I'm going to go the totally politic route and say they were interesting. Yours?"

Why so Sithy, Fandom?

Kanan was totally reaching for that sugar, yes.
"That kind of weekend."
no subject
"No," she said slowly, and tried, "How'd the tea go over?"
no subject
"He liked it," Kanan sighed, "and now I'm pretty sure he's going to start writing to me."
He knocked back half that sugary mess in one go.
And then paused to look into the cup.
"I think my teeth are trying to escape." He finished it off and set it down on the bar. "I'm gonna need another one of those, please."

Rosa's narrative wasn't wrong.
no subject
No, it didn't matter that she'd brought it up herself.
So she just asked, "Does what you're thinking involve a small adorable dog getting a pedicure?" because Kitty was literally the only person on this island she'd admit to what her actual plans were, and half of that was because she knew Kitty wouldn't blab about it to anyone else, and not just because Kitty was smart enough to know that doing so would result in becoming Rosa's new arch nemesis, and no one wanted that.
Besides, she figured Kitty was the type that could be distracted by cuteness anyway.

"You get your dog pedicures?"
no subject
"Give," she corrected. "It's an annual tradition. October 2nd pedicure night."
Forget that she'd had Arlo 2 for less than a year, but she was a 2, right?
Listen, just because she was honest about what she was doing didn't necessarily mean she was about to be so truthful about why she was doing it. If that meant a new tradition was born, so be it. There could be worse things to be suckered into every year.

But she'd let it go.
"You know I'm going to want pictures of the finished product, right?" she said.

In case Rosa was wondering.
no subject
As if she wasn't doing that already.
Rosa downed what little had been sitting in the bottom of her bottle for a while now, set it on the counter, and slid off the stool she'd been sitting on. But she leaned on the bar a little as she said, "I actually have to get going. But I had a question for you. You still interested in going flying?"

"A beer," she said, leaning against the bar. "Without pumpkin spice."
