Community Center [all day]
Steve, bundled up in a variety of hilarious Avengers-themed winterwear (because the colder it is, the less you care), went out on patrol with his shield after Amaya's radio, making sure folks who needed to could get to the community center.
He trudged over to that building, made sure it was unlocked, stoked the fire, and then checked for stocks of food. He found fruitcake, a lot of canned things from an abandoned food drive, and no coffee at all. "Well, Tony will never come here if it's out of coffee," he muttered, heading back out into the cold and towards the sound of equipment breaking.
He'd return later.

However, if something was going on, he would just as soon know about it, so he had packed some additional warm clothing, plenty of food, and his glass and silver (and powered by fire) coffee-maker, along with coffee and sugar. He was not doing this uncaffeinated.
And he didn't care what Jono said about his hat, it was warm and stylish.

...It actually wasn't too terrible, snow-wise. Kitty could phase herself and others right through it. It was still annoying.
And now they were here, and she promised Lexi would stop crying at some point. She was really sorry, everyone!

Would she say that to everyone? Absolutely.

Because sometimes it made her feel better to think that.

They might be stuck without power, but that didn't mean they were savages.

Jono was absolutely going to glower if anybody got any ideas about his chest and marshmallows on sticks, however.
//Right, so, snow monsters,// he was grumbling, pulling his kitten out from one oversized coat pocket and giving her a scratch under the chin. //I've faced worse than snow monsters.//
It was possible that he was uniquely equipped to handle them, granted.

It wouldn't be bad to check into the community center, either, scope out the set-up, make sure everything was going...as well as it could be. So she was there, flamethrower resting over her shoulder for the moment while she warmed up a little.
What? You expected her to not go back to her apartment and get her flamethrower once she found out there were snowmonsters?
What kind of woman didn't have a flamethrower?

"Hey. That thing looks useful. Got a spare?"
Talons only did so much good against snow.

"Not with me," Rosa said, "but I've got a smaller one back at the apartment."
Which meant...going back to the apartment. And she wasn't ready to do that again quite yet. Maybe once she could feel her fingers again, since any size flamethrower wasn't much use if you couldn't even squeeze the trigger.

All he really needed was a lighter and a can of hairspray. Maybe he could raid the Dean's office.

"Does that look on your face mean you actually tried punching the snow?" Rosa asked. "You can borrow this one, if you want."
And she even offered it out. Letting him actually borrow one of her weapons. She must not mostly hate him, or something.
Or she figured he'd be competent enough and, really, anything to get rid of those stupid rampaging snowmen was worth it.
Sort of fifty-fifty.
"I've been out there all day, I need a break, and it's not doing anyone any good just sitting in here with me."

"Show me how this works?" he asked. "I'm guessing it's more than 'point and pull the trigger'."
