The Devil's Nest [Friday night]

It was cold, dark, and threatening to snow, which was Eric's favorite kind of weather, which was why he was in an excellent mood as he wandered down to the Devil's Nest to make sure Tiny was manning the bar to his satisfaction.

The new DJ (it was always a new DJ) looked panicked as Eric came in, stammering something about equipment malfunctions and how very sorry he was before fleeing into the night, leaving the bar listening to "If You Like Piña Coladas" --and only that song--at a volume that was just too loud to be ignorable.

"If you make piña coladas a special tonight, I will snap your neck," Eric told Tiny flatly before disappearing to his normal seat in the VIP area.

The Devil's Nest was open. And verrrrry tired of walks in the rain already.

All these people from their own galaxy, and why were so many still human?

Hera was just going to get a Coke and hang around Kanan for a bit.

"There are a lot of people I've never seen before," Sabine admitted.

Hi, Hera! She knew you!

"Me too," Hera said. "Most of them seem to be Jedi." All of them were human.

Hi, Sabine!

"You go from thinking they're all gone, to thinking there's one left, to being in a room full of them," Sabine noted.

She was maybe wondering when they were from, too.

"I'm still not sure what to do about it all, either," Hera confessed.

"I'm sure Kanan's having fun with that," she realized. They'd never really gotten in depth about the subject, but it had to be a bit of a shock.

"I think he's a little weirded out." Intimidated. "We can always leave if it gets to be too much, though."

"Hopefully it doesn't," Sabine said, looking around. "People seem... nice enough?"

Not that she knew who anyone was to talk to them.

"There haven't been any fights yet," Hera agreed. "I'd say that's a good sign."

"Should there be fights?" she asked.

"Hopefully not," Hera said, "but apparently a lot of them are related."

"Oh," Sabine said, pausing. "I don't know that I would come to this sort of thing if I was going to fight with a relative..."

Please, please never let that happen.

"I wouldn't come for that, but if my father were here..." Hera sighed.

"Are things not great there?" Sabine asked. She couldn't remember this coming up before.

"Great revolutionaries make bad fathers," Hera said.

Or maybe it was just Cham.

Sabine actually had some thoughts on that.

But what she said was, "I can see that."

Because she was allergic to volunteering information.

Hey, Hera wasn't going to push.

She shrugged. "So, family."

"Always keeping things interesting," she said, now a little more wary of potential barfights.
