The Devil's Nest [Friday night]
It was cold, dark, and threatening to snow, which was Eric's favorite kind of weather, which was why he was in an excellent mood as he wandered down to the Devil's Nest to make sure Tiny was manning the bar to his satisfaction.
The new DJ (it was always a new DJ) looked panicked as Eric came in, stammering something about equipment malfunctions and how very sorry he was before fleeing into the night, leaving the bar listening to "If You Like Piña Coladas" --and only that song--at a volume that was just too loud to be ignorable.
"If you make piña coladas a special tonight, I will snap your neck," Eric told Tiny flatly before disappearing to his normal seat in the VIP area.
The Devil's Nest was open. And verrrrry tired of walks in the rain already.

Re: The Bar
Kanan smiled thoughtfully.
"Never actually pictured myself seeing the other end of this," he admitted. "I suppose that's something to plan for, just in case."
Re: The Bar
Re: The Bar
"Follow-through," Kanan echoed, nodding slowly. "Put thought into places that people will be needed where I'll be able to do some good. That sort of thing."
And then survive that long!
Re: The Bar
"Yes. Be the exact opposite of me," she nodded.
Re: The Bar
Easier said than done! Those fuel pods meant business.
"The opposite of you? Why, what did you do?"
And now the Padawan was curious, Master.
Re: The Bar
"There would be a crisis and I'd hyperfocus because I figured I wouldn't see the end of it anyway," she said. "Then when it was over and I was still alive, I had no idea what to do with myself. I should have been much better about it."
And then she did it again.
Re: The Bar
"Sounds like an easy trap to fall into," Kanan admitted. "I used to be a bit that way. Surviving meant taking care of the immediate problems, everything else would have to wait."
Re: The Bar
Re: The Bar
"If balance was easy, everybody would do it," Kanan replied, faintly amused. "It's a work in progress."
Most of his life was.
"I'll get there."
Re: The Bar
It would be slightly harder than anticipated!
Re: The Bar
Kanan considered that carefully for a moment.
"I suppose I should narrow it down a little more than 'everything,' huh?" He smiled wryly. "I could always stand to be pushed more with my lightsaber work, I suppose. I've found a sparring partner on the island, that's something I've been lacking for a while, but I could probably use input from somebody with a more..." Jedi. "... Experienced perspective."

Re: The Bar
"If you're busy tomorrow, then I suppose Sunday evening would work for me," he offered. "I work that day at Luke's, and like hell I'm ever letting the staff there see me ignite a blade. They'd be insufferable forever ever if they did."
