Caritas- Tuesday
Kitty was learning things during this, a supposedly normalish week. Like how the dogs needed to know where Lexi was at every single second. Or that Lucky would very specifically ask for pizza. (They'd caved and ordered it.) It was adorable, and weird, and she kind of wanted to keep it like this?
It did make her really glad the flamingo wasn't working at the bar anymore, though. What ever happened to him, actually?
Anyway, Kitty was here, and it was going to be a night of her and Tino practicing some Pride-themed drinks. Hello, regulars, be her guinea pigs.

abandoneddropped off Arlo 2 at the shelter, but that endless babble of some of the stupidest things in the most irritatingly adorable voice had yet to fade from Rosa's brain by the time she made it to Caritas, not at all helped by all the other animals she'd been forced to cross paths with while doing (very short lived) patrols. Her hands met the bar heavily, as if needed it for support. "Whiskey, Kitty," she said. "Give me all the whiskey. Probably some tequila, too. Vodka? Yeah, some of that, too."

Well. She almost sort of kind of was, but now it would be best friend forever with the additional bonus of unsafe drinking habits tied in there, too!

"Is this the animals, or something else?"

"Kitty! Kitty! Kitty hi!" Stance trotted along ahead of Kanan as soon as the door was open, making his way up to the bar to greet her. "Did you miss me? I missed you!"
"I'm sure she missed you, buddy," Kanan said, trailing along behind him, wearing a wry smile. "He insisted he come visit tonight. He wanted to say hi by actually saying hi."

Sorry, Eponine and Rosa, she loved this.

"It's been a pretty great day," and that came from Kanan, who slid onto his usual barstool. "Stance and I--"
"We explored the whole wide island! There were trees and there were streams and there were sticks and daddy brought treats for me and he taught me the 'pew pew pew!' trick! It's way easier to learn tricks when there are treats!"
And when he knew the language.
"Daddy!" Stance looked at Kanan, a big happy doggy grin on his face. "Daddy, I wanna show Kitty the pew pew pew trick! Do the thing! Do the thing!"
Kanan shrugged, smirked, and pointed a finger at Stance.
"Pew. Pew pew."
"Aaah, he got me!" And that was Stance, rolling over onto his back, paws in the air, playing dead. For roughly three seconds before bouncing up again, tail wagging away. "See? I do that trick the best!"

And she looked at Kanan and said, "Daddy?"

"He keeps calling me that," Kanan said, smiling crookedly. "It breaks my head when actual children say it, I didn't teach him that one."
Which was possibly why Kanan had distracted Stance with the 'pew pew pew' trick for a while.
"But he's a good daddy," Stance confided in a whisper that could absolutely be heard clear across the bar.

Which was mainly a question for Kanan, but.

“Those look colorful,” he commented, upon seeing the Pride-themed drinks. “What’s the occasion?”
