Kitty was learning things during this, a supposedly normalish week. Like how the dogs needed to know where Lexi was at every single second. Or that Lucky would very specifically ask for pizza. (They'd caved and ordered it.) It was adorable, and weird, and she kind of wanted to keep it like this?

It did make her really glad the flamingo wasn't working at the bar anymore, though. What ever happened to him, actually?

Anyway, Kitty was here, and it was going to be a night of her and Tino practicing some Pride-themed drinks. Hello, regulars, be her guinea pigs.

She got a pint glass, because she was a good friend but she was also a responsible bartender, and started grabbing the bottles.

"Is this the animals, or something else?"

"Animals," said Rosa, and then rolled her eyes a little, correcting herself. "One particular animal. Kitty. My dog has got to be the single most dumbest creature in existence. I always had my suspicions about Arlo 2, but the last two days have confirmed it."

"In the cute way, or the way where you want to launch yourself out a window?" Kitty checked.

"Why would I need the Troughful of Top Shelf," Rosa said, "if it was the first one?"

And it usually was cute.

When she couldn't talk.

"Because it could be both," Kitty reasoned.

Rosa narrowed her eyes a little. "I don't think there's anything that's that cute," she said, "but you're probably more the expert on cute than I'd ever be. Or want to be. Let's just put it this way: Arlo 2's stupidity is adorable when it's harmless and quiet, but when it's a never-ending assault on my eardrums, it ain't so cute anymore."

"Aha," she said, adding Coke to the sink to mask the... everything a bit. "I'm an expert on cute?"
