Kanan's warehouse- Friday- NFB
After last night's mission, Kitty had felt it was smarter to just not go home. If they hadn't found them at the warehouse yet, she was still staying there, while knowing they might need to move or scatter if the "good toys" got too close. She had the nesting doll, and the fact that it was empty was a giant clue, though she didn't know exactly what it meant in the bigger picture.
Well, with an execution date for their friends, they had to figure that out pretty quick now, didn't they?
[Same as usual! Mod an invite if you need one, Team Bad Guy has to work harder.]

"Kitty?" he called, entering cautiously after checking to be absolutely sure he hadn't been watched.

"Yeah."

Look, neither Steve nor Verity had ever really gotten to know one another well, but Tony had been with Liam down in the sewers and--
Yeah.
For once she was grateful she only had the one expression. It meant she couldn't cry.

His posture straightened and his shoulders squared. "We're not losing anyone else."

It was a useful thing, having the ability to ask around and really sell that guileless smile and innocent demeanor. Who would ever suspect the miniature half-orc with the unassuming
Britishaccent of doing anything remotely resembling rabble-rousing? Why yes, a few good toys had seen some more activity than usual in the warehouse district! As a matter of fact, someone had spotted that bad, bad Sheriff there just the other day...A starting point, then. A place for Fjord to begin, making his way from warehouse to warehouse and knocking, ever so politely, on doors.

"Uh, who is it?" Kitty called, making her way to the door.

... Hadn't realized he could hold, for that matter.
"It's Fjord," he called back, in that accent that he hated so damn much. "Just a good toy doing my duty as a citizen of the island and checking to see if anybody has... misplaced... anything."

It took a bit of reconnaissance, but she eventually managed to find where the "tea party" had been moved. She swiped the leaves off her head once she was safely inside and huffed.
"Right. Someone tell me there's a plan to take out that Junkyard."

She found a thing! It might be a clue! It was kind of seriously awkward for her to carry as a toy so someone should come get it and make sure it didn't get lost!

Well. At least she'd managed to hang onto it the whole way across the island.
A nesting doll rolled out through the open collar. Mae pointed at it and hopped a few more times.
A clue! Look at the clue!

Of course she managed to find the hideout and… well. It really wasn't surprising that it was Grumpy Bus Driver's warehouse, honestly…
After she'd managed to
fleeget away from Prompto, Nina had grabbed the weird nesting doll and her pencil crayon and stealthed her way through town to see what other people would know and have an idea about what to do about all of this.Because if they didn't have any better ideas she was going to start stabbing things with her pencil crayon.
"If there's, like, a code word for this, I don't know it," she muttered, knocking on the door furtively.

"Who is it?" she asked from inside.

...oh, have you heard this one?
"Hey," said Rosa, quirking her chin up in greeting after letting Sidon and his squishy, squishy steps in before her. "Don't worry, Fish Boy's cool, he's just a little behind on stuff because he's been in the ocean since yesterday. But he did find something. And," she held up her little nesting doll, "I found one, too. If I didn't think it was a clue before, I'm definitely sure it's a clue now."

Although he was rather dripping everywhere. Detective Diaz had made him sort of run around the district a little bit so that he left all sorts of meandering wet paths behind him, so they didn't just lead someone straight to this warehouse.

"Oh," she said, softly, "they're sweet."
Mice weren't usually her thing--but, like, they were all in this together.
And checking in on someone made her feel better, though she was still carting her pencil crayon around with her, like a security blanket.

After scoping out the mice a little, Rosa was able to put a few things together and offered her a stiff nod.
One stuck-as-a-ballerina to another.
And, no, she didnt really do emotional support bullshit or stuff like that, but that was....sort of her attempt to at least give it an acknowledgement. Don't go running off and telling anyone, but Rosa did actually care sometimes, too.
A little.
