The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Night

It was Tuesday, and the Devil was done sleeping off the weekend. It had been an inspiring one, especially near the end, as one could tell by the music flowing from his piano right now.

Well, maybe it had been that, and 'googling how to make anaemic pop palatable'.

Either way, you could kind of tell what he was playing if you squinted.

Lucifer sighed loudly. "If you have to be weird and sentimental about it," he said, taking out his phone.

He swiped down fast, letting the camera feed roll down until it stopped. It... had a picture of Trixie and Chloe on Monopoly night, both their foreheads decorated in pink and purple facepaint and holding a lollipop.

He didn't linger to look at it, just turned the phone towards Seivarden. "There. Happy?"

Seivarden leaned close to look at it. "Is that the Detective? She's very pretty."

"Yes, that's her," Lucifer said, withdrawing the phone moments later because it felt uncomfortable all of a sudden. "Monopoly night. Not quite my style, but sometimes things come up."

"It's a game about buying and selling real-estate. Teaches children all about the wonders of capitalism."

Seivarden decided not to ask what capitalism was. She finished her second drink.
