It had been a normal, peaceful morning that was so early it was practically the night before still. If one wanted to be specific. Or if they were still constrained by the tyrant of time.

Then a piercing noise sounded throughout the building as a fire alarm went off.

Because why get a good night's sleep when you could be dragged out of bed to wait on the tiny, under-worked Fandom Fire Department to come make sure everything was fine?

Beau was going to have Words with Liam about that later. Or maybe just flip him off a lot.

"'sup, Rey," she said with a grudging little nod.

"I hate this," Rey answered.

And she wasn't used to being woken up in the middle of the night where there were people to be crabby at.

"Same," Beau grumbled.

Everyone within earshot already knew that, Beau.

"It's just, like ... so anticlimactic."

"Anticlimactic?" Rey repeated.

"Yeah, I mean ..." Beau huffed and shoved her hair out of her face when a few locks fell into her eyes. "You wake up, the adrenaline kicks in, and then, like, you're just standing outside waiting until they tell you you can go back to bed? What the fuck?"

"Hmm. There's no good ending for this, then," Rey decided. "I really wouldn't want to fight anything on no sleep. But being up all day after this is just annoying."

"Literally a no win situation." Beau grumbled incoherently again. "Sucks to be us, I guess."

"I suppose it's worth at least getting some early training in," Rey mused.
