"Where are all the glasses?"

Upon realizing that it seemed that all the glassware seemed to be entirely MIA at the bar that evening, Summer's accusing eyes went almost immediately to Tino, who shrugged and insisted that he had nothing to do with it! They were all there yesterday! He should know, because he was stacking them all!

Summer narrowed her eyes at him a little after that, now wondering if the glassware had decided to take a hike out of pure self-preservation until Tino managed to get whatever stacking urges he was having lately out of his system.

"You just better hope it's all back by tomorrow," she said. "I am not taking the fall for this."

And at least they had plenty of red solo cups!

Hey, now! Summer resembled some of those remarks!

Although, to be fair, the case could be made that Lucifer did, too, without even breaking a sweat.

"Perfect," she said with a pleased, satisfied, proud sort of sigh, as if that was exactly what she'd been going for, but that mostly fell into line with that last part. "I'm sure you'll find the other ones much more nuanced."

As far as anything Summer did could be considered nuanced.

"Oh, but, hey," she then ventured, following that thread lightly. "You remember how we were talking, like, last month or whatever, probably, about me possibly doing a themed set of shots for one of your parties in the eventual future?"

He reached for the rainbow sherbet.

"Yes?"

Yeah, Summer was pretty sure he wouldn't care two shits about this, but, whatever, he had sort of been part of the process of inspiration, so he was going to hear about it anyway.

"I decided," she stated with a proud, important sort of squaring of her shoulders, "that I'm going to make it official. Back into the jello selling business again, but this time with catering instead of cafes. Officially launched and everything. But don't worry. You'll still get the friends and family discount for your parties, I promise."

Which was, you know, free.

"I mean, unless this takes off at a meteoric pace, in which case, it's fine. I'm sure you'll still be able to afford me."

"I have absolutely no problem paying you money for your jello regardless, I hope you know that," Lucifer said, and dislodged the rainbow shot, and swallowed it, and it was good. "Might actually ask you to make some shots for whenever the next time Duke drags us out on that rust bucket of his will be."

"I have gotten really good at working seafood into my jello shots," Summer mused. Speculated. Threatened?

Noooo, she wouldn't. That would just be cruel. But she was already thinking of how to work a sort of nautical theme into it. Also, if she knew what their destination was, that could be a good cornerstone, too...

"I'd love to," she added, with a grin. "Especially since that means there's probably a next time!"

Which also pointed to good, right??

"There will probably be a next time," Lucifer agreed, mouth curving into a small smile, and then he reached for the next shot. "Which means it would certainly be fun to torment Duke with something terribly Maine."

"Ooooh!" said Summer, with the exact sort of expression you'd expect a sound like that to brighten her face with. "I bet I could find some super cute crab shaped jello molds if I looked hard enough!"

Good news! It would literally take two seconds on google.

"See, that's the kind of forward-thinking that makes me so appreciative of your jello," Lucifer said, grinning.

"Oh, no, Lucifer," said Summer, her eyes wide now as she held up her hands. "You don't understand. I have just had a whole vision unfold about this, and it is absolutely amazing, and if you don't take this trip soon so I can make this masterpiece happen, I am going to be so disappointed. I am, like, literally a genius for this sort of thing. I am totally, like...the jello whisperer right now. I'm pretty sure it's, like, my destiny or whatever."

Lucifer made an amused noise.

"It's not like it takes work to convince Duke to take that boat anywhere," he said, "But we should probably wait a few weeks."

You know, to smother what remained of his and Octavia's respective flight risks.
