Caritas; Wednesday [03/31].

Hey, guess what, Caritas! Both your bartenders tonight were hungover!

Well, was it really hungover if you just kept drinking to stave off the side-effects? Whatever, it was still SPRING BREAK!, which meant that consequences were for sometime later! The crowd from yesterday had diminished slightly, but thanks to Tino's promotional efforts and Summer having worked the bar yesterday and made, like, a ton of new friends, it was still pretty hopping in Caritas for another night of Spring Break Shenanigans.

Summer absolutely did not have a voice today, between all the shouting she'd done literally all day yesterday (and despite having almost completely cleared out the cough drops on the shelves at the store earlier), but she wasn't going to let that stop her. And she had definitely super-relied on her jello maker that afternoon to prepare her shots (which meant that Barry had definitely received at least a couple of super relieved, gushing omg ilu texts whenever a batch came out perfect with very little effort). Sure, they weren't exactly her best work, but they were definitely boozy, and she was pretty sure that was going to be what most of the crowd tonight was going to care about.

They were, however, also definitely themed.

Look, she wasn't so trashed to forget that yesterday had been a very important day for a certain someone!

Well, that seems to be the theory of both the bartenders on duty tonight, one who has lost her voice, the other who has still definitely lost his shirt.

Neither of them are likely to find either by end of the night.

Annie was, honestly, a little alarmed by the crowd, even if she had sort of been prepped for it by listening to radio. But, you know, her insane audition was over and she was back on booze and junk food, and frankly, she owed Summer the consumption of her full retinue of shots tonight.

And that was before she saw the specials board.

"Is that for me?" Annie shouted, pointing to the board with a bright, pleased smile.

Let's be real: she probably would have shouted it even if she hadn't needed to do so in order to be heard. Starlight shots!!!

Summer had started to respond to Annie, an attempt to match her in volume, too, but the words came out in barely a choked whisper, and she knew by now that not even clearing her throat (which she did just then) would help, but it was okay! She knew her voice was totally gone, so she had planned for this and reached for a whiteboard that she'd also picked up, and scribbled down her response before showing it to Annie:

It's totally for you bb~~

Surrounded, of course, with hearts and stars galore.

And they're totally all on me! HOW DID THINGS GO????

"You're adorable!" Annie shouted, gesticulating at the board because seriously, Summer, how cute???? "I think it went okay! Ish!"

Annie winced exaggeratedly, shrugging a shoulder. "I broke their camera?" Which Diego at least was determined to see as a positive thing, so there was that.

Rey honestly thought this would be over by today, and by the look on her face when she stepped inside she was thinking about just texting Annie to see about her audition.

But no, she soldiered on up to the bar and said, "Wow."

She was used to like, Fandom's spring breaks.

"I know, riiiight??" Summer squeaked out, barely audible even if it wasn't for the crowd and the noise and the music, beaming at Rey, then cleared her throat and reached for her whiteboard.

It's GREAT, isn't it?

Yeah, she knew she and Rey were probably going to be on polar opposites of that opinion, but whatevs.

Dr. Pepper? she then scribbled down. Jello shots? I'm doing 15% off on anything served in a red Solo cup!!! :D :D :D

Even though it barely came out as a little squeak of a whisper that literally no one could hear, even if they were right next to Summer, the energy seemed to carry through the bar and it elicited a cheer from the crowd and Summer grinned proudly before picking up her white board so she could scribble down her response for Seivarden to read.

It's spring break! College tradition of going batshit crazy when taking a break from classes. apparently tino's been doing some groundwork and we get to reap the benefits!

She glanced around the bar. "Spring break? I'm guessing that's why they're all kids."

Stark was not really prepared for a crowd and briefly considered walking right back out of Caritas when he saw (and heard) it. But Wednesdays here were part of his routine and he didn't really want to disrupt that, even if there were too many unfamiliar people in here for his comfort.

"I preferred the bar being full of cake to it being full of all these people," he said once he had made his way to the bar.

"There's just so many of them," he added after a moment. But that was fine. Especially if it was only for now. He could deal with it. Probably. "Where did they all come from?"

"A Starburst for now, please." As a former resident of Leviathans he was essentially mandated to try a drink called Starburst. And he was curious to see how it tasted.

Lucifer paid all of five seconds of attention to the redhead mayor who had stepped into the bar and then apparently immediately stepped out of it for some reason.

By which the narrative meant he shot Jesse a weird look on his way in and her way out, and then disregarded it entirely as he found--

"Now this brings back memories."

--a familiar-looking crowd.

Yeah, Summer was a little disappointed, though not in the least bit surprised, to get barely a glance of Jesse before she disappeared again (honestly, she was surprised a small handful of her regulars had managed to weave their way over to bar instead of just noping out, but it was nice that some of them had). She was not in the least bit surprised, either (we'll wait and see about disappointed) that Lucifer was not one of those people.

Pretty great, huh? she'd written on her whiteboard to present to him once he got there. What'll it be tonight, Mr. Morningstar?

News of spring breakers hitting Caritas had made its way to Barry but when he walked in to the bar he didn't realize the entire scope of it.

He made his way to the bar, getting drinks spilled on him twice. He gave his favorite bartender a smile while wondering where Tino's shirt had gone.

"Is this a bad time?" he asked Summer. "I can come by another time when you are not so busy."

That shirt, unfortunately, was probably never coming back.

And even though it came with a smile, Summer's brows lifted and her eyes widened with maybe a faint flicker of panic at the question, because, after all day of gushing all over how easy he'd made her life so that even her hungover ass could still make amazing jello shots without spending all day on them for a change, she couldn't think of any amount of busy that would make it a bad time unless, like, any time was going to be kind of a bad time, but just some times would be less bad than others.

"No!" she squeaked out. "No, it's not, why w--"

She stopped a moment to clear her throat, wincing a little at the effort and the picked up the white board again and held up a finger so he knew to wait while she wrote something down.

Definitely not a bad time!

Barry gave Summer a little smirk. Yes, he caught the gist of the question before she went to the whiteboard. "I'd love a drink. And considering the amount of people here I figured maybe now wasn't the best time for me dropping by and saying hi. That's all," he said with amusement. "What's with the voice? Too many spring breakers?"
