Caritas; Wednesday [06/16].

Summer miiiiight be getting a little antsy about all her birthday stuff this weekend, which was not great because it was only Wednesday, and all of her distracting stuff was mostly out of the way, but she told herself that that just meant she'd have to take advantage of just taking it easy these next two days and enjoy it while she could, because once Saturday hit, she planned on hitting it hard.

(So much for being scared straight, huh?)

Either way, in whatever downtime she had at the bar that night, she was mostly on her phone, making some adjustments and finalizing a few things and maybe going down a few other rabbit holes of ideas, and then staunchly trying to ignore the string of texts from Tricia Lange asking if her boss was going to be there again this year.

God, Tricia, what the hell??

"Birthday Cake?"

Seivarden grinned as she looked on the menu.

It was a distinctly tired-looking Jesse, red hair sticking out of her ponytail at odd angles, who sank down into a seat at the bar. "I can really use that beer around now."

"Of course," Seivarden said. "It's your birthday."

She added with a grin: "And do you think I'd want to miss the party of the year?"

She raised the jello shot in a toast and downed it.

"How are preparations going for your birthday bash?"

Oh, sure, go right for the throat, Luce.

"There was a leak," Jesse said, "Straight into the basement."

She picked up her beer gratefully.

"Honey," Jesse said. "Which doesn't sound too bad until you remember about the killer flowers in the basement."

She took a big swig of beer.

Please. Lucifer had never, ever blown a party on the last leg!

"I doubt anyone would dare," he said solemnly. "I've called in the appropriate favours for Lux, so you should have the stage you wanted."

Seivarden had confidence in you, Summer.

"Quiet," she said. "Oh, and the special on Monday was Gin & Tonic. I got Amaya to try it."

"No," Seivarden admitted. "She was mostly surprised."

After a pause she added: "I know you're probably busy, but have you had any time to, well, work on the marketing?"

"Is someone's birthday coming up?" Annie asked in fake confusion eyeing the board as she tapped her chin lightly.

"A rumor," Annie agreed, settling onto a barstool. "I guess we'll have to wait and see if, like, an amazing crazy party ends up happening."

Annie already had her outfit laid out, honestly. It had taken precedence over unpacking less-fun things.
