Before the rush of usuals trickled in for the night to keep Summer busy with slinging beers and jello shots, she was leaned over the counter a little on her phone, which wasn't that unusual, but whatever she was doing on the phone left her frowning a little.

"Moonlit Pour Garage?" she murmured. "Singing Escape Bar?" Her voice seemed to be getting more incredulous with each tap. "Rusty Brew Emporium??" She scoffed, but clicked again, shaking her head at the next result. "Ultimate bar name generator, my ass..."

Okay, though may Sly Monk wasn't terrible, but Merry Barman Hideout fully convinced her to put the phone away for now and get more focused on tonight's work, with maybe...one speculative glance at Tino to perhaps ask for his thoughts and opinions, but then realizing that some of his suggestions might be things she might not be able to ever recover from.

She had time to figure it out, anyway. Maybe she was just waiting for the perfect a-ha! moment to hit.

"So," Seivarden said, leaning against the bar. "Have you recovered from Saturday yet?"

She assumed Summer had, but the question should be asked.

"Have you?" asked Summer, who knew perfectly well that Seivarden probably hadn't even had that much to drink, but also knew that, between the two of them, she wasn't the one with as many hang-ups about holding her liquor.

"Saturday was, like, a million years ago," she added blithely. "If I hadn't recovered by now, I might as well give up drinking now."

And that, clearly, was not happening.

She had inherited the Sanchez constitution, and she planned on using it, dammit!

"Oh, I've just recovered from staying up all night," Seivarden lied cheerfully. "Being an old person. It was good to see you having fun, do you want me to erase the embarrassing videos?"

She had no embarrassing videos.

Summer was two seconds from calling Seivarden an old fart, so it was kind of touching that she managed to beat her to the punch.

"What embarrassing videos?" she challenged, because she'd already seen a few that were maybe veering a little that way, but was firmly deciding to hold them as badges of awesome, not embarrassing.

After all, Annie didn't even have to pull the 'keep Summer from making out with strangers in bathrooms' card! She'd been so good!

Considering that Summer probably knew that Seivarden didn't have a TikTok account this was a blatant lie, and the most surprising thing might be that Seivarden actually knew what it was.

"No, seriously, I'm not mean," she continued. "It looked like you had a good time and I'm happy for you."

Her smile was now arm and sincere.

"Where are my jello shots?"

If people weren't asking questions like that, then Summer clearly wasn't doing her job.

"I'm pretty sure it's just to distinguish that salt is the main flavor?" she offered. "Rather than, like, chicken or beef. And not some weird regulation restriction along the lines of 'we can't call Pringles potato chips because of the severe lack of actual potatoes' kind of thing..."

Followed, of course, by an eager, "Wanna try one?"

Still, that was a good choice all around and Summer promptly delivered.

"So how's it going, Rey?"

She wasn't about to ask if she was recovered considered she'd been the responsible one over the weekend.

"Good. It almost feels boring after Saturday," Rey smiled.

Stark somehow still had traces of glitter on him when he approached the bar. Glitter was like that. It couldn't be easily defeated by mere mortals.

"I think...," he said as he considered the specials board, "I might not have anything alcoholic. For tonight."

"Still detoxing from the weekend?" Summer guessed, tilting her head, and not smirking at the glitter, really!

"Thinking a soda, maybe? Water? I can make some really great seltzer drinks, too!"

She mostly like those because she could get ~fancy~ with it.

"There were so many drinks," Stark said with a small shake of his head. "Enough for the month. Or more." So many drinks! "I may have to avoid future birthdays."

He would not.

"Something with seltzer is good, I think." He did enjoy a fancy drink!

"Noooooo," Summer gushed immediately. "You can't skip future birthdays! Especially since yeah, the next few? Are definitely going go be way low-key, like, buy some pizzas and rent out the movie theater, or something."

She considered Stark a moment, then, and then nodded as she knew what drink to mix up for him.

"Besides," she added, "once you hit 21, it's all kind of downhill from there."

"Still?" Faye greeted Stark, reaching up to brush away a little bit of glitter from his shoulder.

He had absolutely gotten it worse than she had, this week. Even if Faye had actually fought a squirrel.

She wasn't, like, proud of that.

"They had a bucket," Stark said with a small sigh. "It may never all come off. I'll sparkle forever."

"A bucket seems excessive. But then all of it seems excessive," Faye said with a little roll of her eyes. "I fought a squirrel after my broadcast yesterday when it tried to glitter me."

"You lived," Faye noted lightly, taking a seat and eyeing the specials board. "I mean, I'd hoped you would, but it looked a little questionable there at the end."

No one should probably be that genuinely touched to hear that someone would hope they'd survived, but, then again...

"But I did live! I don't...really remember a whole lot, except by the grace of Instagram and TikTok, but I'm taking that as a good sign.

"Did you have fun?"

She knew she did. The spoils of war and Stark's neck seemed pretty solid proof, if you asked her!

"I did," Faye agreed with a little smile, and she was just going to gracefully pretend that she had never even heard of Stark's neck, because the whole party had been fun. (And also she had a denial problem still, even after that scene in the karaoke bar.) "I haven't seen a lot of the planet yet, so it was fun getting out. And I've sold off two of the drivers' licenses I ended up taking home, even. Profits continue."

"Always glad to have a party that can multitask," said Summer, who really should not be promoting such things, proudly. "Thanks for the cut, by the way. This whole thing definitely put a nice little dent in my bank account, so you may have saved me from eating ramen all month."

So she could instead put it in jello.

And also, she pretty much ran the grocery store and could literally take anything without the owner batting an eye or noticing, but still! Details, details.
