Drunk and Bored club, Saturday night on the beach

It was Saturday and good weather, so Miguel was out on the beach, there was a fire lit, and he had a twelve-pack of decent beer and a bottle of rum.

The Drunk and Bored club was in session!

"Oh, our own Euro Trip! That could be fun" Dwight nodded as he thought about that for a moment. "Will have to do some digging and see where all we'd want to go."

"Not camping," Miguel said firmly.

[alwaysonguard]

"Yeah, yeah city boy. No camping" Dwight said going to give Miguel a playful nudge. "We'll stick to the hotels and such. I suppose even an RV would be roughing it too much huh?"

"Depends on the RV," Miguel said.

[alwaysonguard]

"I'm sure we can find one that would give you most of the comforts of home" Dwight retorted with a smirk. "Well, Fandom home at least."

[what_the_shock]

"So, plenty of stairs, then," Miguel said, deadpan.

[alwaysonguard]

"I was thinking more the conveniences like water and AC as opposed to holographic screens and flying cars" Dwight said drying, trying hard to keep the deadpan look as well.

"I could probably rig up a holoprojector if you're into that," Miguel pointed out.

[alwaysonguard]

"Yeah, I have no idea what that is" Dwight said with a sheepish smirk. "But I trust ya. Whatever you think it best for accommodations and such. I've literally slept in a hole in the ground and rode on a camel for three hours straight. So, I'm pretty sure anything else would be an upgrade!"

"For the holographic TV," Miguel said. "I am not adding camel bedding, though."

[alwaysonguard]

"Fair enough" Dwight said with a chuckle. "Sounds like we got ourselves a road trip to plan soon though" he added, trying and utterly failing to make it sound like he wasn't too terribly excited about that proposition.

"Sounds like," Miguel agreed. "Any place in particular?"

"Aside from general Euro Trip, not at all!" Dwight admitted.

[what_the_shock]

"I'm not even sure what Europe's like in this time, except where I've been with the school," Miguel admitted. "Have to look it up. You speak anything other than English?"

[alwaysonguard]

"Unfortunately English only... And even the more touristy English familiar places would be fine. I've been a few handwaved places but that was during my enlistment. Would be nice to see some of those places again outside the context of the military overshadowing things."

[what_the_shock]

"I speak English and Spanish and a few words of Japanese," Miguel said. "But my Spanish is twenty-second century Nuevo York-flavored Mexican, so I have no idea how that translates to current-day Spain." He might just horrify them.

"We can stick to tourist areas if you want. More chance of them knowing English."

[alwaysonguard]

"Sounds like a plan. Can always start at the normal spots and branch out if we get to feeling extra adventurous or something" Dwight offered with a lift of his beer.

"Sounds like a definite plan." Miguel toasted him back.
