Summer was just going to look at Tino for a long, loooong moment, in a effort to save herself the trouble of using her actual words, but when he just continued to look at her hopefully, she sighed.

"No," she informed him, clear and concise. "You cannot just throw all my jello shots into a blender with some ice and make jello shot slushies. For one thing, I am sick of slushed beverages for probably at least a few more weeks, and for another thing, look at them. They're pieces of art. Do you really want to destroy my art?"

To which he made a counterpoint that could only be countered in return with, "You're not an anarchist, Tino, you're just an idiot."

So, if anyone wondered why Summer had pooled all the blenders to where she could see them and was keeping a particularly close watch on her shots tonight, that's why.

"...Why wouldn't he just make his own drink?" Rey asked.

"Because some people," Summer stated, sucking in a breath to hold back shooting another glare across the bar, "just want to watch the world burn, Rey."

Not that she could blame him.

She was definitely one of those people sometimes.

But some things? Were fucking sacred.

"If he tries anything I'll hold him down," Rey promised.

It was so gratifying, to know that Summer had friends willing to really step it up in defense of her jello shots.

...nay.

Her art.

"Thanks, Rey," she said with an appreciative smile. "I knew I could count on you to have my back. And I definitely think that means free ones if you'd like to consume some and destroy them the proper way...the way god intended."

Did that make her, technically speaking, god in this case?

Find her a better candidate for God of Jello. Go ahead. She'll wait.

This was how you knew she loved you, Summer. She'd stop short of worship, though.

"I appreciate that. Which is your favorite?"

"Aesthetically?" Summer started. "The Bird of Paradise. Flavor? Probably Pool Party. And I'm pretty sure you literally can't go wrong with a Strawberry Margarita."

Unlike questionably strawberry daiquiris.

"I'm going to do something wild and crazy," Rey joked. "I'm going to try the first two you mentioned."

Ooooooooh.

"Two?" Summer asked, hand to her heart as if it couldn't take such shocking news, eyes wide like clearly she must have heard wrong. "Two jello shots? I must say...what in the world has happened to inspire you to be so incredibly reckless and unhinged tonight, Rey?"

That said, she was very happily going to pluck one of each of those off the tray and plop them down in front of Rey, and she was going to look very, very pleased about it, too.

"It's two less that he gets to want to blend," Rey said. "This is a service."

Truly heroic of her.

"Your astoundingly brave display of sacrifice for the greater good," Summer informed her, unable to help a small laugh at that and an adoring smile, "will be duly noted and appreciated for years to come, Rey. Yours is truly a compassion that knows no bounds."

"I try," Rey laughed. "How are you doing this week?"

"Ugh," Summer made a face. "Better before you reminded me. It's been a little....annoying. Not, like, the other weekend with the seashell debacle annoying, but just...." She waved her hand vaguely, then sighed. "Same shit, different day. How about you?"

"Same old," Rey said. You know, repressing all the internal terror all the time. "Learned a new trick, trying to learn other stuff... It's not that exciting."

"I'll be the judge of that," Summer decided. "What's the new trick?"

"Lightsaber twirls," Rey said. "Which... also doesn't sound exciting when I say it."

"I don't know about that!" said Summer, encouragingly. "I mean, granted, it depends on a person knowing what a lightsaber is, but if you know, then that sounds very good! And potentially dangerous! And I bet you look totally badass while doing them!"

"Maybe." She so did. "Master Skywalker definitely does badass better."
