Caritas; Wednesday [12/21].

Some of the flamingos who had performed on the pond earlier that day had moved their act over to the stage at Caritas, and Summer was trying to find a lot of things to do, because Tino kept trying to tell her about his Christmas plans, but she did not care.

So, overall, really, it felt like sort of a very average, typical, nothing really much to say about it kind of night at Cartias, and that was okay.

“What’s with the flamingoes?” Goose blinked a bit as he took his usual seat at the bar, he had spend most of the day in his apartment brooding brooding and had not seen their performance.

Summer shrugged a little. "I guess they had this big performance in the park," she offered, "but some of them weren't quite ready for the show to end. So we get a little extra nightlife flamingo karaoke tonight, why not?"

She then smiled over at Goose, and was already setting up a line of shots for him, as well as a small handful of shrimp cookies on a cocktail napkin.

"How's it going, Goose?"

After the lights incident of the weekend before last, Ignis was a little more careful when he entered Caritas tonight. He hated to do it, but with the combination of the island's holiday proclivities and Tino's own unpredictable whims, he figured it would be wise to also let his cane guide him a bit that evening. Which seemed unnecessary, as he made it to the bar without incident, but he supposed it was better to be safe than sorry. An ounce of prevention, and all that.

And now, safely at the bar, it was just a matter of deciding what he wanted that evening and taking a few moments to pick up on various threads of voices to determine who might also be there.

It was probably no surprise at all to Ignis that Goose was definitely one of those voices that he heard.

“Ignis,” Goose smiled warmly when he saw him, “you came, how are you?” since it had been so long since Monday and everything.

"Oh, the flamingos are new," Connor noted as he walked in and took a seat. The majority of the day had been spent indoors working on research and such, so he had only heard about the flamingos at the pond second-hand.

"They usually just stick to the park," Summer offered with a little bit of a shrug, "but I guess they're out celebrating a good performance earlier. Could get interesting. You know how theater kids are."

She had no idea if Connor would know how theater kids are.

"What are we in the mood for tonight, Connor?"

After a while Cutter decided to eventually drag himself across the street to the bar, his portal home wasn't until tomorrow and he still wasn't much of a fan of staying in the apartment after everything.

"Scotch please," he said as he took a seat at the bar.

"Scotch it is," said Summer, with a nod, and a particular heavy hand for Cutter in particular, after having talked to Connor at the party about Cutter's fun little guest last week.

"How've you been, Cutter?"

She could probably guess, after having talked to Connor.

At some point that night, Connor would get up and slide down the bar a bit and claim a seat next to his friend. With a small nod, he slid over one of the Pink Peppermint shots to Cutter.

"Hey," he said with a small smile. There was no need to ask how he was doing, Connor had a pretty good idea. "You all ready to head back for the break?"

Watts came in with a modded with permission Steven on his arm.

“Here, I think?” he indicated a couple seats before sitting down in one of them with a flourish.

“Evening, Miss Smith.”

"Detective Watts, Steven," Connor said with a nod and tip of his hat. It was getting cool enough he was starting to wear it more often than not when he went out anywhere. "All recovered from the successful Hanukkah party, I hope?"

"I'm honestly mostly just surprised that people think the flamingos are worth mentioning at all," said Summer, after a moment to think about it. "Like...they're not new, they just usually don't make it into the bar."

And then she followed that up with, "how's it going, Rey? What are we drinking tonight?"
