Tuesday: Grooovy Tunes
Charlie had had a long and satisfying, if exhausting, weekend back home, but she was glad to be back in Fandom. She'd sat in to play with a punk Country band, so she was playing some of those songs in case they wanted her to play again with them sometime.
The stereo wasn't particularly happy with this development and kept inserting loud blares of marching music, but Charlie wasn't sure it hurt with this particular type of music.
In any case, Charlie was here and happy and Groovy Tunes was open!

Well, whatever else Graham was going to add to that was going to have to be left a mystery, as, mid-sentence, all of a sudden, there was suddenly a lot less Graham in front of Charlie, and a lot more of a squeaking little bandicoot where Graham used to be.
The continued, expressive squeaking and helpful paw gestures might have suggested that Graham did not even yet realize that he was suddenly much smaller, furrier, and squeakier.

Charlie's response cut off mid-word as Graham suddenly became a ... well, Charlie didn't know what he becamse, but he was awfully small and furry and adoarable.
She quickly bent down to scoop him up. "Grahams, you're just as adorable as a whatever you are, but I think I'd better get you up off the floor. Yes, yes, we can talk more about what your mom might be able to do when I can understand you a little better. This is just a Fandom thing, I think, people have been turning into animals all over, don't worry!"

But for now she listened to him intently, and delighted that this - she really was going to have to look it up and find out what he was - but that whatever he'd turned into he was still so completely Graham.
And that last... "Thanks! I'll bet that was a thanks!" she grinned cheerfully. "And I'll make sure Triumph is taken care of too! I don't think he'll mind if I do!"

Somehow, Graham managed to give his best bandicoot version of a proud thumbs up at how quickly Charlie seemed to be picking up all his various squeaks and chirps, and then followed it up with another eager thank you, and a reassurance that Triumph wouldn't mind at all! Triumph, after all, adored Charlie, almost as much as Graham did!
And if bandicoots could blush, then this bandicoot was doing just that and scratching behind his ear a little bit in sheepish relief that Charlie hadn't started to understand this language nearly enough to have caught him saying that!

She took a moment to do a quick search on her phone. "Ooooh, you're a bandicoot. Or maybe a bandicute," Charlie teased him.

"Okay then!" Charlie spun him around. "We're going to have a great time while you're a bandicoot cutie. Starting with an afternoon of song, followed by a trip to see Triumph and a delicious bandicoot safe dinner!"
The snuggling in bed later was simply a bonus.
