Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

It had been a while since anything weird had happened in the warehouse and at this point it was actually making Rey nervous/suspicious. It was one of the days where she brought one of the texts she'd gotten into the least to see if there was anything she should be learning, and she wasn't really concentrating because she was expecting something to happen.

The woodchucks were just going about their days, suspiciously not chucking wood at her.

"How much is there of the outline?"

Shhh she liked reveal days.

"How much of the surprise do you want ruined?" Anakin teased.

She thought about it. "Ten percent? Maybe fifteen."

[sith_happened]

"I'm finally getting rid of the quicksand," Anakin shared.

[thatwaslucky]

"Is it because I never fall in it?" Rey asked.

Other people did.

[sith_happened]

"It's because you never fall in," Anakin agreed.

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm a little proud of me there," she decided.

[sith_happened]

"I am too," Anakin admitted. "You've come a long way."

[thatwaslucky]

Rey smiled. "Thank you. Some things have definitely been easier than others."

[sith_happened]

"Well, tell me which were hard and I'll keep them," Anakin said helpfully.

[thatwaslucky]

"Obstacles in my way," she said. "Climbing's easy but I like it. The weather and gravity controls do make things difficult. And now that I think about it, that has to make the quicksand gross."

"There was some cleaning," Anakin agreed with a smile. "I can work with your parameters."

"And I am, as always, open for anything," she said.

[sith_happened]

"And I do very much appreciate that in you."

[thatwaslucky]

"I feel like that should come standard in doing this sort of thing," she admitted.

[sith_happened]

"It should, but sometimes it doesn't," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I don't understand doing this sort of thing and not wanting to learn everything," she said. "Maybe that's something I have to adjust."

Anakin nodded. "There are those who won't want to learn."

[thatwaslucky]

"But that makes no-" She stopped herself, thought about it, and said, "I suppose if you came into the Jedi that young."

[sith_happened]

Anakin nodded again. "Some took it as a basic entitlement."

[thatwaslucky]

"And if you didn't choose it for yourself you might not try as hard," she said.

[sith_happened]

"Exactly," Anakin said. "It's hard to motivate someone who's determined not to be motivated."

[thatwaslucky]

"Something to keep in mind," she said, filing that away. She filed a lot away.

[sith_happened]

That would make her a good teacher.

"It's frustrating for you and for them."

[thatwaslucky]

"Have you had to deal with that?" Rey asked.
