So, this was Summer's first pollen week while single in three years, so she was thinking thigns could get a little interesting at her Caritas shift that evening.

Good interesting? Bad interesting?

(Even worse. not interesting at all??)

She had no idea, so she was trying not to think about it, or build up any expectations, to keep herself simultaneously prepared for everything and for nothing at all. Which left a pretty big, obnoxious knot in her stomach.

Although that could also just be from working in all-too-close proximity of Tino and the realization that, especially without the 'I have a boyfriend!' shield, that could theoretically happen tonight.

Yeah, okay, she was definitely going to just focus on making drinks and slinging jello and insisting this was an absolutely normal Wednesday night, until something started to look decidedly more advantageous for her.

Well, maybe with a little help from the specials tonight. What? She was nothing if not an opportunist.

Oh, Summer was so, so pleased to see her specials today working exactly as intended on her end at least and she grinned at Sabine.

"Well, if that doesn't work," she offered as she brought her the shot, "then I might have a few other ideas if you're interested."

And there was Sabine lifting her drink at Margo in greeting. Because wow was she really noticing hot people in bars this week.

Summer was eying Stark for a moment with that response, once again somewhat fascinating by his odd logic in being bold enough for leather pants but not bold enough to ask for a dirty-sounding shot from a woman whose thumb he'd sucked in front of a whole-ass classroom. And she actually was the person who understood him better than anyone.

She shook her head and started reaching for her cocktail ingredients.

"Well," she said, one of many lines she suspected she'd be repeating tonight, "since you asked so nicely. I was actually going to make one of these for you anyway." Like she always did, shh, not the point. "I think you'll like it. It's very pink."

And Margo lifted hers back, raising an inquisitive eyebrow. "You don't seem new," she rasped.

"I'm not opposed to hearing them," she said, picking up the shot.

Kanan would hate this.

Ahsoka had meditated until she could meditate no more before admitting defeat and making for the bar. "I forgot how bad this could get," she told Summer by way of greeting.

"Old but not always around," she confirmed. "Sabine."

The vibes were off, Summer! What he could do?

"I do like pink," he said, nodding. "It's busy tonight."

Not surprising. Just worth commenting on.

There was a little nod of acknowledgement from Sabine. And then a lot of not looking at her because things were weird (on her part) to being with.

In case he, you know, needed the reminder. She needed the levity, though, especially in light of a complicated whirlwind of things she'd been feeling since this whole conversation started, and the frustrating added layer of not being able to sort through what could just be blamed on the pollen and what could not.

That was enough to make her almost want to suggest waiting until next week, but just leaving him adrift like that until then felt like it defeated the whole point.

but yeah. let's do that. nice, grown-up, not-dirty milkshakes tomorrow sounds really nice actually

And yet....she was here in the bar on one of its busiest nights, but Summer wasn't going to say anything about that one.

Not yet, anyway.

Her smile was just sympathetic, and genuinely so.

"Welcome back!" she said with a snort. "And, please, let me get you some alcohol, and hope that it helps in the way you want it to and not the way you don't."

Ahsoka nodded back, and...kept looking longer than she would've under ordinary circumstances.

And Summer was just going to linger a moment on appreciating how Margo let it linger.

"So?" she then asked, when she was pretty sure she couldn't stand another second of lingering, thanks. "Thoughts? Opinions? Ready for another?"

Dean quickly drained his glass. "Never to late to start on the good stuff," he said with a grin. "And my week has been... interesting. I seem to be running into lots of aliens."

"Yeah," Summer agreed, and she took a moment to let her eyes drift around the bar as a relieved sort of grin surfaced that they didn't really need to pay too close attention to, because a worry that most people would avoid the place like the plague instead this week had been a legitimate concern for her, but, well...

Her roaming eyes went back to Stark with a faint grin and she poured the drink she'd mixed and worked on the garnish, setting it in front of him with a, "Big week for booze, really..."

Which Sabine could tell.

"So this is terrible," she said.

The island was so generally horny right now that it actually didn't make a difference where she was on it. It was the buzzing and itching in her montrals and lekku that were the real problem.

"Alcohol would be very welcome," she said. "Thanks."

Or who knew? Maybe he'd be the first one out there with the little glitter flags like the supportive space dad/bestie that he was!

"Sex in the Back Office has a lot less sand, for starters."

Just...decided to come out swinging with it like that, huh, Summer? In her defense, though, been there, done that already this evening and she was big on challenging her creativity, so that was definitely just a soft starting pitch.

"Any particular form of alcohol?" Summer wondered. "Or just whatever gets the job done?"

Maybe after it completely broke his brain.

"Bold of you," she said, clearly not hating it.

It was just...unusual to be back around the version of Sabine who was more of a peer than the one back in her own galaxy.

"I'm certain it wasn't this bad when we were students," she said.

"Purgatory is out for me but, Hell does raise possibilities," Dean said. "I've got a contact there who knows some major mojo. If I can pull a few strings she might be willing to help me out."

"I got a girlfriend out of this when we were students," Sabine said. "It was at least different."

Now she was working through a mountain of baggage and that would be the worst thing she could do to someone.

"I'm almost prepared to drink that concoction Tino was attempting to serve on the weekend," Ahsoka replied. "I've had worse."

Just because she wasn't supposed to know about any of the stills the men had built, didn't mean they'd never shared the results.

"I haven't had any yet," Stark pointed out.

Because Monday and Tuesday had gone well. At least as far as Stark could tell. Sometimes he got these things wrong but he didn't think he had this time.

"This week. Just this one. Thank you."

He watched her watching everyone else with a tiny frown on his face but picked up the glass to try and hide it. He knew how this all worked and he wasn't going to be weird if he could help it, but... there was always that but.
