Caritas; Wednesday [04/03].

Tino kept disappearing into the back office at random intervals throughout the night to make a point, and Summer was going to just roll her eyes, remind him that she did give him, like, a ton extra of the tips for the night last week, and almost made the mistake of asking what he was even doing back there this week, anyway, but, thankfully, was quick enough to stop herself before traveling down that particular rabbit hole, especially since she could just tell he was waiting for someone to ask.

Please note, Summer would be very tempted to switch all your drinks out with Malört and the disgusting jello shot if she did catch you asking him. She didn't care if you were just being nice. That kind of behavior should not be encourage.

"You know, I was thinking I've been playing to the crowd a lot lately," Atton commented, as he stepped up to the microphone after a long and intensive chat with the zombies. "I thought I'd do something else, but then I realized what I wanted to do went too far in the other direction."

Bassist zombie started playing behind him in the background.

He got up to the microphone and planted his feet on the ground. Not like his usual karaoke nights; like gig nights. "So here's a compromise," he said, voice lower.

And started with the intensity of a real show-- "You're keeping in step

Well. Someone had gotten their groove back - or had gotten less concerned about bringing their groove into this bar. Either way.

Well, without a general theme to motivate her for a song choice tonight, Summer was a little unsure of what to do when she got up there this week. But if Atton was leaning into a sort of classic for his style, she'd lean into one for hers.

"I'm pretty sure we do," said Summer, with a nod, her eyes already starting to roam over the options, "and if not, then I can one thousand percent make you one...actually, no. Me making one is way more fancy by far, I'm gonna just do that."

There were not enough excuses in the world to add ridiculous spiraled lemon garnishes to drinks these days.

It might take a little longer than just grabbing a bottle, but, dammit, she was a bartender, she was gonna tend bar.

"How's it going, Atton?" she asked, once she deemed the drink fancy enough to be passed along.

Harley and Navaan had never met and that seemed like a general tragedy. But, fortunately, here was Navaan to fix that, complete with cheesy sexy pickup lines.

Navaan, who hadn't actually realized that anything had been amiss last week and had finally assumed you'd all just gotten on her goddamned level (finally), flung the door of Caritas open and boldly walked in. "I'm fucking my way through the alphabet!" she announced. "Who here starts with an 'E'?!"

Roughly a half an hour after Navaan arrived at the bar, the door slammed open again and a very angry Liliana Vess stormed in. By this point, she was less mad about the conversation that had sparked all of this and more just purely aggravated by the sheer time and mana she'd spent trying to hunt this fanged nitwit down.

"Navaan!" she seethed.

Liliana swept back into Caritas a second time. Her cheeks were bright red, there were bruises on her throat, and she was sopping wet and looked...well, looked not unlike she'd rolled around on the banks of a duck pond for awhile.

"Summer," she rasped. "A short of whiskey, if you please."

She was going to drink that shot and then she was going to go home.

Her boyfriend bathtub was waiting.
