Summer was squinting a little at the stage today when she came in to set up for her shift, as the zombies seemed to be milling around and testing out some more uncommon instruments. Their usual instruments were still on hand so no one had to be subjected to doing their favorite karaoke song to the bagpipes or an otamatone, but....

That would be pretty funny.

Until then, though, the patrons of the bar might be treated to some familiar background music, but as done by theramin or ocarina, and maybe a groaning debate or two amongst the band (no doubt sparked by zombie Yoko) about whether or not certain instruments really classified as 'uncommon.'

Summer was, of course, staying out of it, no matter how many times Tino tried to get her in on some kind of betting pool.

Eucalyptus leaf breath, thankfully, had not lasted long after Stark's transformation and the careful application of alcohol. Otherwise Summer might have objected to the now-usual kiss across the bartop when he arrived.

"Hi."

A grin as he settled on his usual stool.

"Everything sounds good tonight but I think I should start with a spaceship."

"I had a feeling you might," Summer admitted with a faint grin. Even with the pie one!

"It glows in the dark, too," she added, importantly, leading with that one before going to set all the others down with it, and then getting started on his drink. That he didn't order, but obviously he was getting.

"How's your day been, Stark?"

It was like she knew him or something.

"They glow?" Well, now Stark was even more delighted. "And it's adorable. Perfect." His grin widened as he picked one up.

"Squirrels were fine and I stayed far away from the park so it's been a good day. You? Nothing terrible happened since the last time I saw you?"

"Nothing too terrible," Summer assured him with a mod. "Unless you count Pancakes protest puking because I gave her one kind of food for lunch instead of another one. I'm mostly just looking forward to wherever we're heading tomorrow for Wine class. Maybe we'll both even be people-shaped for it this time!"

"I'll try my best not to be a koala," Stark said with crooked smile. "I was looking forward to Japan, you know. I feel bad about it. But you still had fun?"

He picked up the little chocolate ball now. "Hopefully tomorrow I can make up for it."

"I still had fun," Summer confirmed with a nod. "You were a big hit at the club. Don't you remember? I have so many pictures. Who doesn't love a Party Koala?

"But you can definitely still make it up to me tomorrow, too," she added, with that smirk that suggested she had a few ideas on exactly how.

"I don't know if I love a party koala," Stark pointed out. "I've never met a koala who wasn't really just me but that doesn't count."

Could you really meet yourself? Well. Around here? Definitely.

"Any idea where we might go tomorrow? Any hints from Ignis?"

Summer had met herself, like, so many times, Stark...

"Well," she offered, her smile sweetening a little in that way that she knew he was going to like this next part, "I know I love a Party Koala."

And just to really give it that extra oomph, she leaned over the bar to give him a quick kiss.

"And no," she settled back with a roll of her eyes. "Nothing. But when we've talked, it wasn't really been about class...."

Stark had met a few Summers now but he hadn't really met himself...yet.

"I'm glad you still love me even when I'm a Party Koala."

"What have you been talking about?" he asked curiously. "Or is it something I'm not meant to know? Like...Koala recipes."

"Could be koala recipes," said Summer, shrugging and grinning innocently. "Could be something else. I really can't tell you, I've been sworn to secrecy."

"Please don't let Ignis cook me if I turn into a koala again."

Stark frowned.

"Please don't let Ignis cook me in any shape." Just to be totally clear.

He was going to have to come up with increasingly absurd things Summer and Ignis might be talking about in secret.

"What makes you think they would be recipehs," Yes, clearly, she needed to say it like that, "for cooking koala and not recipehs for cooking for koalas?"

Because Stark had met Ignis, Summer, that's why.

And could any of the things Stark made up be as ridiculous as the actual thing? Summer thought he was being pretty ridiculous about it, anyway.

"Maybe I wanted to make you a fancy koala meal!"

To Serve Koala WAS A COOKBOOK!

"Maybe you did," Stark said, clearly unconvinced. "But you were talking to him before I turned into a koala so that would be odd unless you planned on my being a koala."

"But I probably wouldn't have appreciated it much. I'm sure I'll appreciate whatever we eat tomorrow in class, or after, much more. Since I'll be myself."

"Famous last words," Summer noted with a smirk, and a lift of an eyebrow over Stark playing with that kind of fire for even uttering such a thing.

"I'll presumably be myself," Stark said belatedly.

Oops?

"But I promise to be a cooperative koala again if I'm not myself in the usual way I'm not myself?"

"You usually are," Summer assured him, then seemed to need to amend it, "mostly. There's still thr...clinginess, but you were really good about it this time! Even let go for Monday so you didn't turn back in a really embarrassing way! Proud of you, Stark."

He was a work in progress. Even when he was a work in progress in fur.

"You were very right to leave me home Monday," Stark said. As usual, obviously.

"Though I might have had fun at paintball. Unless I turned back then. That wouldn't have been fun at all."
