Streets of Fandom, Tuesday Morning
Well, a man could only ride that whole found family high for so long before the the reality of staying with Wade Wilson and his seventy something, cocaine addicted roommate started to kick in. The itchy feeling of needing to move on was always there, even as he stubbornly refused to give in this time.
But Wilson was better at observing things than Logan really felt he ought to be or he was eager for a little privacy as he and his girl were circling around each other to figure out what they were now. Could have been a bit of both, honestly. And then meant a place of his own close enough to get dragged into whatever bullshit was happening around the little group he had if the need arose. (And for Laura to keep an eye on him too. Not that Logan would acknowledge that was a thing she needed to do.)
But the castle? Hadn't expected the castle.
"He better not have sent me to fucking EuroDisney."

Speaking of Disney owned properties, one was jogging through the streets of Fandom right now. Well, technically, above the streets of Fandom, but let's not split hairs.
Still the girl slowed down her run to give the old man a wave. "Hi!" she said trying to catching her breath. "Are you new?"
no subject
"Yeah," Logan said, definitely thrown off by the friendliness. Did his surly expression not do enough to scare people off? Oh no, had he been irrevocably changed by the whole hand-holding to Madonna thing?
no subject
"Oh! Well, then welcome to the island!" Kamala chirped, now descending from above to ground level. "I'm Kamala and go to the school here," she said jabbing a thumb to the castle. "And don't worry about all the stairs, you get used to it."
no subject
"That's a school," Logan didn't so much ask as say. Oh no, was this going to be the most awkward thing in the world and somehow involve the X-Men when he was not at all ready for it? But that was all supposed to be in Westchester, right?
Because this kid? Clearly a mutant.
no subject
"Yeah! Fandom University. Though it's also a high school but I think they're phasing that out? I haven't really paid attention," Kamala replied because her attention span wandered after things weren't 100% relevant to her own world. "What brings you to the island Mr.-?"
There was a pause because he still hadn't mentioned a name yet. To be fair: Kamala hadn't really given him a chance.

This was important. For him only, maybe.

Definitely not Charles Xavier.

"Would not have guessed there was a universe where you were tall."
Hello to you too, Remy.
no subject
Also, lookin' a little less broad than he last saw.
no subject
"Wandered in from Baltimore in between superhero gigs. You?"
no subject
And maybe, possibly, semi-considered him a friend.
"Looking for a place to stay." That wasn't New York. You know. Bad memories and all.
no subject
Did you know about the mansion, Logan? You were, like, a full foot taller than you should have been so Remy had to guess here.
no subject
"Apparently I got an apartment. A sentient house?" Enjoy the judgement as a nice distraction from all his issues! You know. As a treat. "Guess it's a step up from the void."
The lowest bar. And that included living inside a dead Scott Lang's head!

for his stupid mental and physical healthwhen he saw someone he hadn't seen around the island before, but had seen before. Sort of. That guy was a lot shorter and usually wearing bright yellow."...Logan?"
no subject
"I know you, bub?" Because this place was getting way too friendly. Was this a big joke on him by Wade?
...yeah, that actually made sense.
no subject
who was from the real 616said ruefully. "Nobody does, so far, except my ex and her universe's guy was really different." It was fine. He was fine. Also, this was a Logan, so Don was just assuming he was already fine with the concept of the multiverse. "Did you...grow?"no subject
"Did I what?

"I knew I was coming," Logan said with a sigh that was maybe half growl. "Someone else set up the apartment and apparently job."
He was going to be so annoyed it wasn't a bar.

And there was Kitty, walking around with coffee from the Perk in her hand, doing a double take when she saw him. "Logan?"
no subject
Which was why Logan just froze up for a moment.
This was fine. Everything was fine.
no subject
"Should I have started with hi?" she said lightly.
no subject
"Hi," he managed just fine, forcing out that ringing in his ears. He was in a universe where people were still around, this was expected. "Kitty?"
She'd been a kid. Most of them were kids, after all.
no subject
This was a new reaction, turns out! She didn't quite know what to do with it.
no subject
He'd had character growth and everything! Madonna was involved.
