Caritas, Saturday - After Three Minute Dates

Well, there was still a poorly written banner up, but it now just said "HAVE GOOD BAN" which Jane wasn't touching because Tino was sulking at having it ruined. But other than that, the bar was good and open for anyone who needed to drink away their sorrows, celebrate a new connection, or maybe do a little people watching.

Jane enjoyed the people watching part the most on nights like this.

Jane was quite lovely but Stark would not be leaning across the bar to kiss the bartender tonight before ordering a drink. He was just going to say "hello, Jane" instead.

That would be awkward all across the board for sure.

"Hi, Stark," Jane replied with a quick grin. "Did you enjoy the dates?"

"They were all right," Stark said. "The first one was best."

Because Summer.

"You didn't have to participate?" Was it because she could squash Tino like a bug?

"Oh no, I am more than okay not going through that," Jane replied. "Safe behind the bar."

With the ridiculous banner.

"I'm glad you stayed safe," Stark said. "I didn't mind it, this time, but there have been times when it was...more unpleasant."

He'd been an unwilling conscript so many times now because Tino was a jerk.

"WHat drink do you recommend?"

"I think the Some Like It Hot is the one I'd pick," Jane said, looking at the specials. "But that depends on if you like spicy."

"As long as it isn't unexpectedly spicy I like spicy," Stark said. "Summer made a spicy drink this week. I'll try it."

"Coming right up," Jane replied with a nod.

"Thank you," Stark said with a nod. "You've been well?"

"Other than a new class I wasn't expecting to teach, yes," she replied as she shook up the cocktail.

"The moose?" Stark guessed. "I hope it isn't too terrible, at least."

He'd had his and Kitty's classes swapped once, Jane. He'd had to teach people about the basics of superheroing!

"It sort of remains to be seen," Jane said carefully as she poured the drink and offered it over to him. "It could be worse, I guess."

"It could nearly always be worse," Stark said, lifting his drink to her before taking a sip.

"Oh, I like that. Nicely spicy."
